Are you having trouble getting detailed answers from Siri when ChatGPT is integrated? If Siri isn’t providing the same level of detail or accuracy that ChatGPT can, you’re not alone. Many users notice that Siri doesn’t seem to fully send your questions to ChatGPT or isn’t allowing ChatGPT to access real-time web searches, even if the feature is turned on.
Here’s what you can do to improve the situation:
1. Check Your Settings: Make sure that ChatGPT integration is properly enabled in your settings. Verify that the permissions are set so Siri can access ChatGPT and use web search features. Sometimes, toggling these settings off and on again helps refresh the connection.
2. Use the Proper Commands: When asking Siri a question, phrase it clearly and specifically, like “Ask ChatGPT: What’s the release date of MacOS 26.2?” This makes it clear that you want Siri to consult ChatGPT directly.
3. Use Detachable Apps: If Siri isn’t delivering enough detail, try opening the ChatGPT app directly and typing your questions there. While this isn’t as fast as voice commands, it guarantees you get accurate and full responses.
4. Adjust Expectations: Siri is great for quick, basic questions, but it may not match ChatGPT’s depth and web-search abilities when integrated. Keep that in mind for complex questions.
5. Wait for Updates: Apple regularly updates Siri and its features. Keep your device and apps updated to ensure you have the latest improvements and bug fixes.
For example, I asked Siri on December 6, 2025, “What’s the release date of MacOS 26.2?” but didn’t get a clear answer. I also tried Spotlight to find info, but it was unhelpful. To get better results, I went directly to the ChatGPT app and found the answer easily there.
If you follow these steps, you’ll have a better chance of getting the full and accurate answers you need, even when Siri seems to fall short.
