If you’re finding that your new 17 Pro Max isn’t working as well as your old 13 Pro Max when it comes to basic tasks and voice commands, you’re not alone. It can be frustrating when your new phone seems to have less functionality, especially when Siri doesn’t cooperate like it used to.

Here’s a simple way to troubleshoot and hopefully fix these issues:

First, check your Siri and search settings. Go to your phone’s settings, tap on Siri & Search, and make sure everything is turned on properly. Sometimes, the simplest fix is just enabling these features again.

Next, try restarting your phone. A quick restart can resolve many small glitches and refresh the system’s functions.

If Siri still isn’t responding correctly, it may help to reset your Siri settings. You can do this by turning Siri off in the settings, then restarting your phone, and turning Siri back on. Follow the prompts to set it up again.

Also, ensure your iOS software is up to date. Sometimes updates include bug fixes that solve issues like these. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.

If requesting Siri to turn on the flashlight still fails, try manually turning it on from Control Center. Swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen and tap the flashlight icon. That way, you can get your task done even if voice commands aren’t cooperating.

Finally, if these steps don’t help, consider contacting Apple Support. They can help diagnose deeper issues and offer solutions.

Remember, sometimes new devices need a little setup or tweaks to work perfectly. Keeping your software updated and adjusting settings can make a big difference. Hopefully, with these steps, your new 17 Pro Max will perform just as well as your previous phone.
