Twelve South returns to CES 2026 with a product that appears more like a stylish piece of home decor than a tech gadget. Their newest offering, Valet, is a wireless charging tray designed to hold your daily essentials at the end of the day, quietly charging devices in the background while serving as a leather accent piece for your table.
A Charging Accessory You’ll Be Proud to Show Off
Valet combines soft Nappa leather with a weighted zinc alloy base available in several colors. Its outer frame is removable and interchangeable to suit your evolving style. The main surface functions as a tray for keys, sunglasses, wallets, and other small items.
On one side, there’s a raised square platform—this is a Qi2-certified wireless charger delivering up to 15W of power, compatible with most newer iPhones, AirPods cases, and similar devices. Additionally, a USB port on the side allows you to connect a second device for charging at the same 15W speed.
Cable management is discreetly integrated beneath the tray, keeping cords out of sight and preserving the sleek aesthetic. Valet can be adjusted into four different orientations, either flipping into portrait mode for limited spaces or repositioned so the wireless charging pad sits where it’s most convenient.
The entire setup is powered by a 36W adapter, which comes included in the box along with a 1.5-meter cable.
A Different Kind of Charging Solution from Twelve South
Valet isn’t a traditional laptop charger or a multi-device charging station. It’s intentionally designed to be less utilitarian than previous offerings like the HiRise, which can charge three devices simultaneously, or the Butterfly 2-in-1 MagSafe Charger.
Instead, Valet emphasizes seamless charging—making dropping your phone onto a table feel effortless while keeping your device powered up. Its focus on elegant design aligns with a broader industry trend of gadgets that discreetly blend into your environment. Known for creating accessories that integrate seamlessly with furniture rather than standing out, Twelve South continues this approach with Valet, which may be its most refined expression yet.
Priced at $180, it’s a premium item aimed at individuals who prefer their charging setup to be intentional and stylish rather than improvised.
