Samsung has introduced an exciting lineup of refrigerators, expanding its home appliance offerings. Among the new models, the 4-Door, 4-Door French Door, and Side-by-Side versions feature a 9-inch AI Home screen, reinforcing the company’s vision of a connected home unveiled during CES 2025.

This innovative 9-inch AI Home screen equips users with multiple functionalities, enabling control over SmartThings-connected devices, monitoring energy usage through SmartThings Energy, and fostering family communication with the Daily Board feature. Users can also enjoy music streaming via Spotify.

Selected 4-Door and 4-Door French Door models will include an upgraded AI Vision Inside feature. This built-in camera can identify specific food items when you place them inside or remove them. With the addition of four new items, the fridge can now recognize a total of 37 different foods. Users can even name processed items, which allows for personalized recipe suggestions and meal planning. For example, ask your fridge for recipes using broccoli and lemons, and you’ll receive plenty of ideas—I tested it, and it really worked!

Samsung’s voice assistant, Bixby, plays a significant role in the functionality of the new refrigerators. It can recognize different family members’ voices and respond accordingly. You can even instruct it to open the fridge door, which will then swing open effortlessly—ideal for those moments when your hands are full after a shopping trip. Additionally, the new fridge range offers an Auto Open Door feature, allowing users to tap a specific area on the door to open it without speaking.

Aside from its smart features, Samsung’s latest refrigerators also incorporate new Hybrid Cooling technology in certain models, designed to keep food fresher for extended periods while optimizing internal space. This system combines a traditional compressor with a Peltier module to provide extra cooling when the internal temperature rises or the AI anticipates a temperature increase, such as after a typical Sunday grocery run.

While pricing details for the new fridge lineup have not yet been disclosed, updates will be provided as they become available. The 4-Door Refrigerator will feature the 9-inch AI Home Screen and is designed for a streamlined fit, requiring only 4mm from the sides and 20mm from the top for installation.

Targeted for the North American market, the 4-Door French Door Refrigerator will be available in several configurations, including a 32-inch Family Hub version alongside the 9-inch AI Home model. The Side-by-Side Refrigerator will also offer various screen options, including a 21.5-inch Family Hub and the 9-inch AI Home.
