Peloton is finally expanding its presence to commercial gyms with the launch of its new fitness equipment line, the Peloton Commercial Series. This marks the company’s first set of machines designed specifically for high-traffic gym environments rather than residential use.
The new collection features a connected stationary bike and a connected treadmill built to withstand continuous foot traffic. They incorporate Peloton’s familiar software and sleek design, enhanced with heavy-duty engineering from Precor, the company Peloton acquired in 2020. Expect these machines to begin shipping in late 2026.
CEO Peter Stern explained that this move aims to bridge the gap between home workouts and gym visits. The goal is to allow members to access Peloton’s expert instruction wherever they work out. This development signifies a significant shift for the brand, which initially gained fame through living room fitness routines.
Engineered for the Gym Environment
These machines aren’t just repurposed home units with new branding. They feature industrial-grade durability sourced from Precor, which now oversees product development for Peloton’s commercial division. Standard residential equipment wouldn’t hold up well under the demands of a busy gym, so these models are built to last in such settings.
Gym operators can now equip their facilities through Peloton’s Commercial Business Unit. Formed in 2025 following the integration with Precor, this division has already seen a 10 percent increase in revenue during the second quarter of its fiscal year. The first public demonstration is scheduled at the upcoming Health & Fitness Association Show, where Peloton will pitch directly to gym owners and operators.
Same Experience, Different Setting
Despite the enhanced hardware, the user experience remains familiar. Peloton continues to control the software and design, ensuring members enjoy the same interface and content they’re accustomed to at home. The company assures that top-tier instruction and programs will be available on these commercial models, maintaining consistency across the board.
The Commercial Series represents just the beginning of a broader product lineup. Peloton has plans to introduce additional cardio and strength-training units over time, expanding beyond current niche placements like hotels and apartment buildings. For now, the focus remains on integrating these offerings into full-scale fitness centers.
Availability and Future Plans
Delivery of the new machines will begin in late 2026 across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia, and Austria. These markets align with Peloton’s existing customer base, providing a foundation for expansion through Precor’s distribution network, which reaches over 60 countries worldwide.
For regular gym visitors, this means there’s a chance you’ll see these Peloton units at your local fitness center next year. The company is actively engaging with industry operators, so partnerships and installations are likely already underway.
