There are many ways to customize how your Machines perform in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, but one of the most flexible options is the Gadget Plates. These plates let you pick and change bonuses and perks between races, giving you the ability to adapt on the fly.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds offers dozens of Gadgets—some even allow for full stat-boosted Machine builds once you’ve raced enough—and if you’re aiming for the most useful Gadgets to help you finish first, we’ve selected the best ones for you.

### Bumper Guard
A Support category gadget that prevents you from dropping Rings when you hit walls. It only takes up one slot on your Gadget Plate. Whether you’re new to racing games, still learning your handling, or facing a tricky, winding track, the Bumper Guard might be just what you need. While it helps avoid losing Rings after bumps, keep in mind that your top speed depends on your Ring count, so conserving Rings is generally beneficial.

### Air Trick Bounty
This Gadget appears on courses with significant jumps. It rewards you with extra Rings for every complete rotation you perform mid-air. Tracks like Dragon Road or White Space, which have lots of airtime, benefit the most from this gadget by giving you more Rings with each jump, potentially making you faster once you land again.

### Ring Thief
A Gadget that steals 5 Rings from opponents upon collision, requiring two slots on your plate. There’s also a smaller version that only takes one slot but offers fewer Rings. If you like to push the envelope and disrupt opponents, this gadget pairs well with others that boost your success when colliding with racers. It’s a great choice for aggressive players who want to amass more Rings by knocking rivals out of their path.

### Any Stat Changes
You start with five individual stats—Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Power, and Boost. Each Stat Gadget requires one slot and can give a slight increase to one category, which can be especially powerful when combined with Machine type bonuses (like speed boosts on Speed Machines). You can unlock multiple copies to stack these effects and tailor your Machine to suit your style.

### Dash Panel Bounty
This gadget boosts your Rings when you use Dash Panels or Gates. It takes up two slots. On many tracks, especially during the first lap, you’ll encounter multiple Dash features. Using this gadget ensures you earn extra Rings each time you hit one, and with Rings determining your max speed, collecting more can give you a quick race advantage.

### Attack Item Chance UP
Increases the frequency of attack items appearing from item boxes, requiring one slot. This is especially useful for players looking to go on the offensive, or if you want a higher chance of getting powerful weapons like Red Fists or Slicers to disrupt opponents.

### Collision Boost
A technique upgrade that lets you bounce off other Machines to gain a speed boost. You need two slots for it and will activate it by colliding with vehicles. In high-speed races where crashes happen often, this gadget can turn a collision into a quick boost forward, helping you climb the ranks.

### Boost Starter
Starts the race with a significant boost. It requires one slot and can be combined with careful timing of the starting countdown. This is particularly handy since races often begin with you starting in last place, regardless of how well you performed previously. With a free Boost item plus the starting boost from this gadget, you can leap ahead early in the race.

### 200 Ring Limit
This gadget allows you to hold up to 200 Rings instead of the usual cap. It takes two slots. Because your maximum speed depends on your Ring count, increasing your cap allows you to store more Rings during boosts, making you faster on straightaways and giving you a speed advantage when racing.

### Ultimate Charge
Adds a fourth level to your Drift Charge, and when you use a Charge Level 4 Boost, your Machine becomes invincible. It requires two slots. You’ll notice a meter filling up next to your character during drifts; this gadget enables you to charge it further, resulting in larger boosts and a period of invincibility, protecting you from attacks while boosting.

In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, choosing the right Gadgets and combining them strategically can make a big difference in your performance, whether you’re trying to catch up, defend your lead, or disrupt other racers. With the diverse options available, you can tailor your Machine to suit your racing style and the demands of every track.
