In Solasta 2, there are six different classes to choose from when creating a new character. Each class offers unique roles and playstyles, with some overlap depending on how you build your character.
Here are the available classes and their typical roles in a party:
- Cleric: Usually a religious character who acts as the team’s healer and main support. They can also cast spells when needed.
- Fighter: A melee-focused class that often serves as the tank, absorbing damage and attacking fiercely.
- Paladin: A mix between fighter and cleric, balancing support abilities with combat skills. They tend to be more combat-oriented.
- Rogue: Designed for sneaky tactics; they excel at remaining unseen and striking precisely to gain the upper hand.
- Wizard: A spellcaster who primarily uses magic to deal heavy damage and control battles, with some healing options.
- Sorcerer: A complex but powerful spellcaster class, often more versatile than wizards, focusing on raw magical power.
Each class influences how your character approaches combat, with varying levels of difficulty:
| Class | Difficulty |
|---|---|
| Cleric | Intermediate |
| Fighter | Easy |
| Paladin | Intermediate |
| Rogue | Easy |
| Wizard | Intermediate |
| Sorcerer | Advanced |
Best Stats for Certain Classes
Cleric:
- Prioritize Wisdom (high importance), then Constitution and Charisma. Focus less on Strength and Dexterity for supporting roles.
Fighters:
- Strength and Constitution are vital. Dexterity is secondary, with lower priority on Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma.
Paladins:
- High priority on Strength and Charisma. Constitution is also important, while other stats can be secondary.
Rogues:
- Dexterity should be the highest stat, followed by Intelligence and then Constitution. Strength and Wisdom are less critical.
Sorcerers:
- Charisma is key, with high priority. Intelligence and Constitution are also useful, but Dexterity and Strength matter less for spellcasting.
Wizards:
- Focus mainly on Intelligence, followed by Constitution and Wisdom. Dexterity and Charisma are less crucial.
These focus areas help optimize your character’s effectiveness in gameplay, making sure they are suited to their roles in combat and support.
