There are many reasons to play Arknights: Endfield, like the engaging combat and automation system, but most players are drawn to the game because of its beautiful character designs. To get these characters, you need to participate in the gacha system.
Like in other gacha games, this system has multiple banners featuring specific characters. The summoning process can seem complex due to the many details involved, but once you understand how it works, it might feel more manageable—even if luck isn’t on your side.
Complete Chartered Headhunting Guide
The Chartered banner is a limited-time event that features rate-up characters. It typically rotates every 2.5 weeks, offering new characters or reruns. Aside from the listed probabilities, this banner also includes a pity system for five- and six-star operators.
You are guaranteed to get at least one six-star operator within every 80 pulls. The chance of obtaining a six-star increases by 5% with each pull after the 65th. When you get a six-star operator, there’s a 50% chance it will be the rate-up character, and a 50% chance it will be one of the standard operators or the characters from the previous banners.
The initial banner offers a small chance to get Gilberta or Yvonne if you lose the 50:50 chance of getting the featured rate-up character. These characters are the second and third rate-ups for that patch.
Every time you pull a six-star from this banner, you’re participating in the 50:50 chance. If you pull 120 times without receiving the rate-up character, you can claim it for free. This doesn’t count as a pull—it’s a reward for persistent effort in the banner.
Once you get the first copy of the rate-up character, each additional copy is guaranteed every 240 pulls, doubling the initial guarantee. After the banner ends, these characters join the pool in the next two banners, giving you further chances to obtain them if you miss the 50:50.
The 120-pull pity resets with each new rate-up banner, so it’s best to save your pulls if you want to maximize your chances of hitting the target rate-up character. For the first 30 pulls, you get a free multi that only works on the same banner, but doesn’t contribute toward pity. At 60 pulls, you earn another multi usable only on the next banner—this counts toward its pity and is only worth it if you’re aiming for that banner’s character.
On this banner, you have a guaranteed five-star in every 10 pulls, and you can earn quota points that can be exchanged for various items in the Quota shop. Extra tokens can also be traded for other items if you have more than the maximum characters allowed.
You can use either a Chartered HH Permit, a limited permit for that banner, or convert 500 Oroberyl into a permit. Oroberyl can be obtained via Origeometry—each run grants 75 Oroberyl.
Arsenal Exchange Banner Guide
The weapon banner, called Arsenal Exchange, is more generous than others. You use Arsenal Tickets to pull, which you can earn by summoning characters in any headhunting banner, purchasing the premium battle pass tier, or buying bundles in the shop.
A single ten-pull costs 1,980 tickets. Each multi guarantees a six-star weapon every four issues, with a 25% chance the weapon is the rate-up item. After your first rate-up weapon, you’ll automatically get a second one after 18 issues and another after 34 issues, helping you unlock their potential.
At 10 and 26 issues, you also get crates allowing you to pick one standard six-star weapon, providing a way to get top gear for free. Saving tickets until you have enough to guarantee the desired rate-up weapon is wise.
New Horizons Headhunting Guide
This beginner banner allows you to earn a free six-star character from the standard roster simply by progressing through certain quests: Break the Siege, Rally and Unite, Secure Sanctuary, and Paving the Way. Completing these quests enables a ten-pull on this banner.
After performing four multis, you’re guaranteed a six-star unit if you haven’t already. If you do get a six-star early, the guarantee on the fourth pull isn’t reset. You earn quota points from all character copies, similar to the Chartered banner.
Completing the four multis also grants a chance to pick one of five six-star weapons, giving you the best gear for free. You can make one free selection after 10 or 26 issues.
Basic Headhunting
This is the standard, always-available banner sharing many mechanics with the Chartered banner. It features five six-star characters at launch and may add more over time. It doesn’t include a pity system, so each six-star has an equal chance of being any character in the pool.
After 300 pulls, you can choose one six-star character for free—this choice is permanent and does not refresh. You can use either Basic HH Permits or purchase permits with Oroberyl, though buying permits isn’t recommended since the banner runs continuously.
Current and Upcoming Banners
The game features several banners with scheduled start and end dates, such as Laevatain at launch, followed by Gilberta and Yvonne later. The banners after Version 1.0 haven’t been announced yet.
