By doing so, you’ll collect plenty of rewards and experience life in the jianghu.
Some missions and encounters are well-hidden, making them easy to miss unless you know exactly where to look. One such quest is The Road to Redemption. If you don’t visit the right spot at the right time, you might never realize someone needs assistance.
How to Start The Road to Redemption
You probably won’t know you’ve begun this quest until you finish it. The NPC you need to speak with only visits the Buddha shrine during the daytime. If you come across Daohui at night, he’ll be lying on the floor in the monastery.
To start the quest, go to the monastery on Halo Peak. During the afternoon, go further up the mountain to find Daohui praying. Talk to him to learn that he’s seeking forgiveness for past mistakes, believing he’s responsible for a tragedy in the Bodhi Sea.
Note: The Bodhi Sea is a dangerous area, so be careful if it’s your first visit.
Where to Find the Illegible Final Note
Head to the Pagoda of Karmaful Karma located in the Yongfu Temple. You’ll likely hear loud drums echoing through the swamp. Daohui won’t ask you to bring him anything, but there’s a note left in the swamp that can help ease his worries.
From the Boundary Stone at the pagoda, turn around and head toward the open gates. Just before the signposts, on the left side, you’ll spot a scroll on the ground. Pick up the Illegible Final Note and read it to gather more information about what happened, though details are limited.
Rewards for The Road to Redemption
After completing this quest, return to Daohui at Halo Peak and give him the note. This act helps to ease his conscience and lets him move forward. In return, you’ll receive:
