Where Winds Meet has just been released worldwide and has received a huge response from players in Western countries. In just two days after its official launch, over 2 million players have joined. Many enjoy the free-to-play martial arts adventure, especially appreciating the variety of character builds they can create.
From my experience, one of the most powerful builds in Where Winds Meet combines the Infernal Twin Blades and Mortal Rope Dart skills within the Bamboocut – Wind path. I recommend using the Swallowcall weapon set and Calmwaters armor, although there are other weapon and armor sets that suit this path well.
Best Weapon Sets and Martial Arts Skills in Where Winds Meet
Due to the game’s flexible progression system, there are great build options for every style of play. However, the specialized paths provide a synergy that’s hard to match with hybrid builds that mix martial arts talents from different paths.
For early to mid-game, the Bamboocut – Wind path is highly effective. It uses the Infernal Twin Blades and Mortal Rope Dart, both of which deal high damage and can cause significant bleeding, making quick work of enemies. However, these weapons require good timing and skill, as they can feel fragile, like a glass cannon.
The Swallowcall set complements this build well. When equipped with four pieces, it boosts damage by 15% against low-Qi enemies and by 5% against exhausted foes. You can find these pieces by completing the Blissful Retreat and Jinming Pool campaign missions, defeating the Sword Trial, or through group dungeons.
Best Armor Set and Skills for the Build
The Calmwaters armor is recommended for this path. It grants a chance to recover 3% of your maximum health and 10 Endurance after successfully dodging an attack. You can acquire these armor pieces by finishing the same campaign missions, sword trials, or dungeon runs mentioned above.
In terms of skills, the recommended internal arts are Breaking Point, Echoes of Oblivion, Riptide Reflex, and Vendetta. These skills enhance your damage output, improve your defense penetration, reduce cooldowns with control skills, and extend the effects of your Rope Dart, respectively.
Overall, the Bamboocut – Wind path is a powerful, high-DPS build perfect for early and mid-game adventures. It excels at quick, single-target combat and offers a versatile yet straightforward playstyle.
