Where to Locate Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders

Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders are one of the final items needed to upgrade your Gunsmith Bench. Although they don’t look special, finding Rusted Gears can be tricky since they are classified as Industrial-type loot. They can also appear in specific containers, so some maps are better for farming them. The best place to hunt for Rusted Gears is in the Buried City during the night, especially because it has many cars to search through.

Rusted Gears are mainly found in industrial areas, such as in any Industrial zone in the game. They can also sometimes be found in the hoods of cars and inside generators if you use a crowbar to open them.

The top spots to search in the Buried City are:
1. The west industrial building – a large, sandy building with several generators to pry open.
2. The railroad parking lot – next to the outdoor railroad, where cars are quick to open, but be cautious of other players fighting for the same loot.
3. The multi-tier parking lot – a huge structure full of cars. It’s usually less busy, though there may be raider posts, bots, and sometimes tougher enemies like Bastions and Bombadiers, especially on the roof.

Going at night isn’t required but increases your chances of finding Rusted Gears. Since these gears are rare, don’t get discouraged if you don’t find them right away. Check these locations, extract your loot, and try again if needed. You can also use the free loadout option in Arc Raiders for farming without risking your best gear. Just remember, without a safe pocket, your loot isn’t protected during your runs.
