Grounded 2 is primarily a survival crafting game, even though it has a detailed story. You’ll often find yourself fighting enemies and managing your hunger and thirst. As you explore new areas, tougher enemies will appear, so you’ll need better gear to fight them.
One of your main crafts will be a bow. To make arrows for it, you need to gather Thistle Needles. They’re not easy to spot at first, but once you know where to look, they become easier to farm.
### How to Find Thistle Needles
To get Thistle Needles, analyze resources by studying the Mite Fuzz first. Then, you can craft arrows using Thistle Needles. To gather Thistle Needles, look for specific plants with big leaves and a purple flower at the top. You can find these plants in two ways:
– Search through grassy areas and keep an eye out for large leaves with pointed edges.
– Look high up to spot purple flowers growing on top of some plants.
When you find one, Thistle Needles are stuck to its branches. The leaves are arranged so you can climb them, collecting multiple Needles as you go. Usually, from just one plant, you can gather about 30-40 Thistle Needles.
### How to Locate Thistle Needle Plants
You can find these plants either by exploring the map or by direct observation. On your map, zoom in closely, and you’ll see small purple flower icons indicating their locations. The best place to find clusters is near the area labeled Snackbar Front, where you might see three purple flowers close together.
Once you find a purple-flowered plant, mark its location and follow it to easily reach the plant in the future. Since each plant gives a lot of Thistle Needles, you won’t need to farm for long. Keep in mind, Thistle Needles can only stack up to ten in your inventory, so make sure to have enough space to store them all.
