The mystery surrounding what happened to Project Heartwood and Mantikor’s actions in Arc Raiders continues to unfold with new details discovered in the extensive Stella Montis research facility.
What was once an ambitious series of experiments—like developing earthquake-resistant housing and alternative energy sources to fight ecological disasters—was suddenly cut short because of Mantikor. Despite losing some information, the people of Speranza are tirelessly working to recover and rebuild. Another clue can be found hidden in the vaults of Stella Montis.
Where to Find the Right Access Station and the Seed Box Key
In Stella Montis, the last mission from Shani, called “Entry,” becomes available after finishing the previous quest, “Furtive Meetings.” The first step takes you to the ventilation shaft outside the Seed Vault. Near the door, you’ll find a row of consoles connected to the wall. Approach the first console, marked by a bright red light, and a prompt will appear to access the researcher’s log.
After interacting with the console, move to the small open room next to it. Inside, look for a rack with two jumpsuits hanging against the wall. Search these jumpsuits to find the Seed Box Key, completing this part of the mission.
How to Find the Seed Deposit Box
Next, you need to enter the Seed Vault itself, which is normally locked. To do this, you’ll have to find and bring a Fuel Cell back to the vault door, then insert it into the machine beside the door to unlock it.
Sometimes Fuel Cells are not in the hallways near the vault. If you can’t find one there, check the hallway leading to the Atrium, as many Fuel Cells spawn there due to the area having several locked doors.
Once you have a Fuel Cell, carry it back and insert it into the machine to open the vault door. Inside, clear out any Ticks or Turrets—these creatures can spawn inside the three rooms if the area has been accessed before. After clearing the enemies, head to the back of the main room.
At the end of the row of containers, you’ll spot a white computer console. Interact with it while holding the Seed Box Key to open it and receive the “Official Shutdown Documentation” quest item.
The Seed Vault contains a fair amount of loot, including at least one or two Medical Bags, containers filled with assorted Seeds (which you can turn into resources at Celeste), and breachable containers with Electrical loot.
When you’re ready, return to Speranza and speak with Shani at her shop. As a reward, you’ll gain experience points, unlock the White Indigo color palette for the Warden Outfit, and receive the Yellow Light Stick blueprint.
