If you’re exploring Pywel in search of stylish gear in Crimson Desert, you’ll want to know how to find the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak. This armor piece is quite special because it changes how your helmet looks, depending on whether you have the hood up or down.
We’ll guide you to the exact location where you can find the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak to upgrade both your style and fire resistance. If you care more about appearance than stats, this cloak is a great choice because of its unique look.
Where to Find the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak
You can find the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak in the Warrior’s Soul Cave, located in the northeast part of Demeniss.
The cave is behind a waterfall northwest of Drywind Valley, east of Breezeblown Knoll. Approach the waterfall from that side so you can jump down easily by gliding. Use the Stab skill (RB/R1 + Y/Triangle) to cut through the rushing water and enter the cave behind it.
Inside the cave, head toward the back. There, you’ll discover a treasure chest containing the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak and a Palmer Pill. You can also find a Refined Palmer Pill and three other chests on either side—one of which contains rare gems.
The armor in brief
| Armor Name | Attack | Defense | Refinement | Effects |
|——————————|———|———–|————|—————————|
| Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak | — | 3 | 3 | Fire Resistance Lv. 3 |
This armor offers decent protection but is probably not as good overall as the Plate Cloak of Shadows from the Armor of Shadows set, mainly because it has lower fire resistance (Lv. 3 versus Lv. 7). Both have the same defensive rating.
If fire resistance isn’t a concern for you, the Dark Marksman’s Plate Cloak stands out thanks to its distinctive look.
Toggle Helmet Appearance
The cloak features a unique helmet that you can turn on or off. When the toggle is on, the helmet appears dark with a small slit to see through, replacing your actual helmet’s visuals. To switch this effect, select the cloak in your armor menu on the radial wheel. Each time you do, you’ll either put your hood up to display the helmet or take it off to reveal your regular helmet.
Fans of characters like Revan or Kylo Ren from Star Wars might prefer to keep the hood up, as the mask has a somewhat similar look—at least within the style of Crimson Desert.
