Locating Textbox-Chan
To summon Textbox-chan in Date Everything!, you’ll need to use the Dateviators on any menu that lacks dialogue. You can do this in one of two ways:
- Use your cell phone to choose the Main Menu option. Instead of confirming your selection, apply the Dateviators on the box that pops up asking if you’d like to stay or exit.
- Attempt to talk to the same Dateable twice in one day. This will bring up a small black popup that indicates the character is unavailable—but Textbox-chan is up for grabs if you use the Dateviators on the popup.

Enhancing Your Relationship with Textbox-Chan
To enhance your relationship with Textbox-chan in Date Everything!, she’ll encourage you to chat with her after you’ve met specific milestones of Dateables around your space. Since she is your way to play the game, she wants you to enjoy the user interface throughout.
Keep an eye on your Date-a-Dex; Textbox-chan will unlock new scenes after you’ve met 16, 41, 60, and 80 other Dateables in the game.
You don’t have to move these relationships forward for her to chat; while some characters require you to finish another character’s arc first, Textbox-chan only values that you’ve officially met them and recorded them in your Date-a-Dex.
You can encourage Textbox-chan to keep talking if you’ve already hit the necessary number of Dateables, but she might not appreciate it. Be careful not to push too hard if you want a favorable outcome.
Throughout your interactions, make sure to compliment the aspects she mentions about UI design, such as font choice and color schemes. She wants to feel seen, not just as a means to access other Dateables, so be sure to support Textbox-chan with your compliments during her scenes.
Love
You can only secure Textbox-chan’s love ending at her final scene, but only if you’ve shown appreciation for her insights and aesthetics. In that last interaction, when she asks what you think of her, select “I think you have some really great ideas” with a smiley emoji to trigger her love ending.
She’ll affirm your sentiment by declaring her love for you, and you can confirm your feelings by saying, “I’m yours” to solidify Textbox-chan’s love ending in Date Everything!
Friends
Similar to the love ending, you have to reach Textbox-chan’s final hangout scene, which happens after you interact with 80 Dateables. Make sure to have been kind to her along the way and choose “I think you have some really great ideas” during the conversation.
However, if Textbox-chan opens up to you in this final scene, respond with “I’m sorry, I just want to be friends” to achieve Textbox-chan’s friends ending.
Hate
There are numerous ways to make Textbox-chan dislike you. Simply insult or dismiss the game’s UI if she inquires about it during her scenes. If you do reach the end of her story, you can make her hate you by only calling her pretty, as she desires to be appreciated for her function as well.
You can lock in Textbox-chan’s hate ending by saying, “You are so pretty, Textbox-chan, so beautiful and stylish” during her final exchange when she asks what you like about her.
