Where to Find Panpour, Pansage, and Pansear in Pokémon Legends: Z-A While Completing and Solving

Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour are finally available in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, marking their first appearance on the Nintendo Switch. Fans who don’t have old school games or haven’t downloaded the mobile version can now complete their Pokedexes with these adorable monkeys.

To find these little creatures, you’ll need to hunt for them in a somewhat unusual way—by making an expensive cup of tea. Unlike most Pokémon, these monkeys cannot be found in Wild Zones. Instead, you’ll need to keep a close watch while exploring the city streets and rooftops to spot all three.

How to Complete a Pan-Tastic Pot of Tea

At Cafe Cyclone, early in the game, you can start Side Mission 018: A Pan-Tastic Pot of Tea. Your goal is to catch all three pre-evolved monkeys and show them to the cafe owner, Servando. Once you’ve caught and presented all three, a new drink called Pantrio Tea will be added to the menu, and you’ll earn these rewards:

1,000 Poké Dollars
Three HP Up items
One White Herb

Note: You can’t show evolved forms of these Pokémon to Servando. If you’ve already evolved the monkeys before speaking to him, you’ll need to catch them again.

Where to Find Pansage, Panpour, and Pansear

All three monkeys can be found in the Y-shaped trees around Lumiose City, especially along Autumnal and Hibernal Avenues and in Jaune Plaza. Weather conditions greatly influence which monkey will appear more often:

Pansage shows up under normal weather.
Pansear appears more frequently during sunny weather.
Panpour is more common when it’s raining.

Once spotted, these Pokémon don’t run away, so catching them can be quite straightforward. Take your time to line up your shot and choose the right Poké Ball for an easy capture.

Additional locations: Besides trees, these monkeys can appear on rooftops. Alpha versions of the Pokémon are rooftop exclusive. Confirmed alpha spawns happen in two spots:

On the rooftop in Bleu Sector 6, north of the gallery but south of Wild Zone 10.
On Rouge Street, on the rooftop just west of the Dormez Bien Cemetery and a building north of the Looker Bureau.

Catching all three in the Rouge Street area is especially easy since multiple monkeys spawn there, and you can find a variety of them all at once.

Rooftop Spawns and Groupings

Aside from tree locations, rooftops featuring large trees are hotspots for groups of monkeys, often gathering around berries. Occasionally, you’ll find three or four together, which makes it possible to catch more than one type in a single encounter. The area above the Bleu Pokémon Center always houses a roaming monkey, adding more chances to find these Pokémon high above the city.

How Weather Affects Spawns

Weather plays a critical role in monkey appearances:

Pansage thrives in normal conditions.
Pansear appears more often when it’s sunny.
Panpour prefers rainy weather.

All three can appear in any weather condition within the trees, but certain weather patterns make specific monkeys more common. Also, rooftop locations, especially over Bleu Sector 6 and Rouge Street, are reliable spots to find and catch these Pokémon, including alpha variants.
