Unfortunately, they aren’t lying right at your feet when you drop down into the cave. Instead, you need to reach the central chamber of the cave, where two waterfalls are located. Be sure to get to the bottom of these waterfalls, not the top.
In the waterfall room, there is a small pathway. If you have your in-game compass active, it will show that the path is to the northwest. Follow that pathway carefully, but don’t drop down it yet. Instead, stay close to the right wall and keep moving forward until you reach a small crawlspace. Crawl through it to enter another area, which has another crawlspace. Crawl through this as well to continue.
This will lead you to a hidden little area where a small Kerotan frog is nearby. Right beneath this frog, you will find the night-vision goggles. Once you pick them up, returning to the rest of the cave won’t be too hard, as long as you don’t run into too many bats along the way.
