Defending what’s left of humanity in Arc Raiders can be challenging, especially when you’re just starting out. While it’s helpful to learn about the materials and maps you’ll encounter, discovering new objects or enemies can be especially rewarding or tricky.
The Stella Montis map remains mostly uncharted. Tian Wen has asked you to do some reconnaissance and bring back new materials for her research. We’ll guide you through locating everything she needs so you can advance in the story and earn rewards that will make raiding easier. Here’s what you need to know to begin your search for Tian Wen in Stella Montis.
Where to Take a Photo of the Rover in the Sandbox
When you accept this task, you must deploy to Stella Montis on the map. Your first goal is to photograph one of the rovers in the Robotic Sandbox. There are two sandboxes centered on the map where the rovers, which look like dune buggies, are located.
Be careful when approaching this area because enemies like Shredders, Fireballs, Pops, and Sentinels are common and will attack immediately, alerting other Arc units and raiders nearby. To complete the task, simply walk up to the side of a rover and interact with it to take the photo. Once done, the objective will be marked as complete, allowing you to move on.
Where to Find the Security Checkpoint Papers
Next, head to the upper floors near where the lobby connects with the security bridge. Just north of the bridge, turn east to find a small reception area with a room behind it. Inside, you’ll find filing cabinets and tables filled with paperwork.
Note: Going through the checkpoint will activate a metal detector, which can attract unwanted attention.
Approach the papers and examine them to complete this part of the quest. Afterward, it’s best to quickly return to Speranza via the lobby metro. It’s nearby and easy to access as long as the metro is operational. Be cautious of other raiders on your way down.
Where to Find Magnetrons
The next item you need is a Magnetron for Tian Wen. These parts can be found in the Assembly Workshop located to the north on the map. The area contains many offices and open spaces, which can be dangerous when facing raiders or Fireballs.
Although a Magnetron might not always spawn, this is your best chance to find one. Search all tool carts, cabinets, and workstations for parts. Even if areas appear to have been looted, you might still find something useful. Make sure to check the upper levels of the workshop for more opportunities.
Tip: There is a raider hatch in the workshop that you can use for a quick escape if needed.
Where to Find Flow Controllers
Finally, the Flow Controllers are located in the Medical Research Labs. While Shredders patrol these halls, there are many hidden rooms and quiet corners where you can hide. Search all carts and medical bays for resources.
Finding a Flow Controller isn’t guaranteed every visit, but your chances are good. Once you find one, be sure to store it safely in your inventory. Then, bring it back to Tian Wen to complete the quest. As a reward, you’ll receive a Burlette, a Silencer, an Extended Light Mag, and 100 Light Ammo.
