A big part of the charm of Where Winds Meet is its setting rooted in wuxia, featuring incredible martial arts moves, daring acts of chivalry, and gravity-defying feats. All of these elements come together through the game’s many Mystic Skills.
The Lion’s Roar skill combines martial arts philosophy with a bit of silliness. Bells often have a calming sound, but they can also be deafening when used as a weapon. In the game, you can suddenly summon a giant bell and ring it to push back enemies and drain their Qi quickly.
How Do You Unlock the Lion’s Roar Mystic Skill?
You start with this skill during the tutorial. It lets you produce a large bell and strike it to knock back foes and deplete their Qi. However, after the tutorial, you won’t have access to it unless you do some specific tasks.
To unlock it again, you need to ring four copper bells scattered across the Qinghe region. Once all four are rung, the Lion’s Roar skill is automatically unlocked and available for use.
Every Copper Bell Location
The copper bells are large, bell-shaped objects similar to the one used in the Mystic Skill, making them hard to miss. They are all located in structures that house and support them, so they’re quite visible even from a distance.
All the bells are in Qinghe. Two are near the General’s Shrine, which might suggest they’re on the same island, but the other two are in opposite corners of Qinghe, so you’ll need to search different areas.
Copper Bell #1
The first is in Sundara Land, the northernmost area of Qinghe, on a hill in the eastern part of the region. It’s standing alone on a hilltop. Follow the map’s path to find it, ring it, and then move on.
Copper Bell #2
This one is inside the General’s Shrine grounds, roughly in the middle of Qinghe. It’s on the west side of the area, across from where a man and a frog are jumping. Ring this bell to unlock the next.
Copper Bell #3
The third bell is just south of the second, still on the General’s Shrine island but outside the main grounds. It’s in an open, flat area, making it easy to spot. Ring it to proceed.
Copper Bell #4
The last one is in the southern part of Qinghe, in Moonveil Mountain’s Witherwilds area. This zone tends to be foggy, which can make navigation tricky. The bell is located at a ruined shrine’s grounds in this area.
What Does the Lion’s Roar Skill Do?
When activated, you summon a giant bell and ring it with a thunderous sound. This attack hits multiple times, with each hit increasing its effects. While ringing, you also gain Tenacity, boosting your armor and defense.
For example, if you’ve poisoned an enemy with the Leaping Frog Mystic Skill, striking them with Lion’s Roar will spread that poison to nearby enemies.
As you upgrade the skill through different tiers, it gains new effects:
- Tier 2: Improves the Tenacity effect.
- Tier 3: Hitting one enemy five times will silence them for three seconds.
- Tier 4: You gain a 40% damage reduction while using the skill.
Lion’s Roar not only packs a punch but also works really well with other Mystic Skills. Plus, it’s quite amusing to find a giant bell and ring it loudly just for fun.
