Having access to a variety of Benedictions in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers ensures you’re never unprepared when facing a tough boss, especially if your build isn’t working as planned. The rarest and most valuable of these Benedictions are hidden behind special doors called Benediction Doors.
These bright yellow gateways act as shortcuts or entrances to new areas you’ll want to explore. Some of them lead directly to some of your game’s most rewarding treasures. It’s definitely worth searching for these doors whenever you can.
What Are Benediction Doors?
Benediction Doors are different from Riddle Gates. Riddle Gates require you to answer a question, and you get different gifts based on your answer. Benediction Doors, on the other hand, are opened with a Chisel and always provide a new Benediction plus access to new parts of the map.
Finding these doors is highly recommended because the Benedictions they give boost your weapons significantly, making them some of the best in the game.
Where to Find All Benediction Doors
There are seven Benediction Doors scattered throughout your game, but most of them won’t be accessible until late in your adventure. Finding all seven grants you the Discerning Eye achievement/trophy.
You don’t need any special items besides the starting Chisel to open these doors. They don’t require riddles or puzzles—just straightforward access.
Cloudspire Outskirts Benediction Door Location
The first Benediction Door is just outside the Cloudspire Outskirts shrine. You need to progress enough in the area to unlock the main gate shortcut. This door is right beside that shortcut and should be opened immediately.
Opening it grants the Benediction: Sheng – Lethal Might, which lets you gain a Skyborn Might charge after defeating enemies, increasing your damage temporarily. Access to this door also unlocks a cave shortcut to the boss Ai Nengqi and the Rebel Camp shrine.
Mt. Zhenwu Benediction Door Location
After defeating Liu Wenxiu, move through the Mt. Zhenwu Temple area until you unlock the elevator back to Mt. Zhenwu Antechamber. Nearby, you’ll see a ledge with many tiny lights. Follow these steps:
1. Step straight out to the green light and stop.
2. Turn right and walk to the closest book near the temple, then stop.
3. Turn left and walk to the next book, then stop.
4. Turn right, then walk up to the next green light.
5. Turn right again and follow the green lights to the ledge.
Open the Benediction Door here to receive Shan – Blight Ward, which reduces damage from afflicted enemies. Be cautious—inside, you’ll encounter two summoners, and fighting them is risky but rewarding, as they guard a Forgotten Remembrance.
Palace Vegetable Garden Benediction Door Location
After speaking with the Storyteller to begin Act Four, the first region of Act One will change. To reach the Palace Vegetable Garden shrine and this Benediction Door:
– Travel from the Shu Sanctum shrine to the second-floor exit and turn right across the bridge.
– Proceed up the hill until you pass the shield monster under the overhang.
– Look right to follow a wooden path down the cliff.
– Reach the Lotus Pond, then go left up a small hill, then right.
The door is visible from this spot. When opened, it grants you the Benediction: Fa – Corruptive Feathers, increasing your Feathering Attack Power near areas of corruption. Inside, you’ll find the shrine and a shortcut.
Featherfall Marsh Benediction Door Location
Starting from the Bo Capital Entrance shrine, go around and slightly left into the cave. Cross a bone bridge and take the elevator down to the Featherfall Marsh. Inside:
– Continue straight, keeping left around the central tree while avoiding enemies.
– The door is up a set of golden stairs on the left, just below the ledge near the lever.
– Beware traps on the ledge where fire traps shoot at you.
Opening this door awards the Benediction: Shi – Blood Ward, which reduces damage after taking hits. It also unlocks a shortcut into the marsh for easier access later.
First Depths of the Capital Benediction Door Location
From the Depths of the Capital Shrine:
– Exit onto the main path, where enemies fight.
– Take a left toward the streams of corruption.
– Stay right and head diagonally right toward a lever in the back.
– Use the lever to open two doors; enter the second one.
Inside, you’ll find the Benediction: Wei – Blood Force, which boosts damage when your health drops below a set point. This door creates a shortcut and provides powerful buffs.
Second Depths of the Capital Benediction Door Location
Starting from the elevator near the second Benediction Door:
– Instead of turning right at the lever, go left.
– Continue until you reach a fork—take the right path.
– Drop off the ledge near kneeling enemies and find the lever to activate.
– Return to the fork and take the right path again, then run past enemies to reach the next Benediction Door.
This grants you the Benediction: Bu – Combo Ward, which reduces damage from successive attacks. The door is guarded by enemies, including a bird that fires lasers and a staff-wielding foe. Defeating them grants access to the door, a shortcut, and the Benediction.
Third Depths of the Capital Benediction Door Location
From the elevator leading up to this area:
– Instead of turning right at the previous lever, go left at the fork.
– Follow the path until you find an invisible, green-lit path guarded by enemies.
– Continue straight, then turn right at the end to find the door.
Inside, you’ll get the Benediction: Panda Merchant, which allows your attacks to absorb health temporarily after gaining Skyborn Might. The door leads to a shortcut and valuable buffs.
With these steps, you’ll be able to find and unlock all Benediction Doors, gaining powerful benefits to help you conquer Wuchang’s challenges.
