Where To Find Brick in Pokémon Pokopia: Completing & Solving Guide

Even though Brick is a fundamental building material in the real world, you’ll need to make significant progress in Pokémon Pokopia before you can unlock it. Some materials used earlier, like Lumber, make sense to come before Brick because they’re simpler to craft and are earlier in the game’s progression.

Unlocking Brick after materials such as Copper Ingots and Glass might seem a bit odd, but there’s no need to argue over that. The fact is, Brick doesn’t become a necessary material until you reach the game’s third area, Bleak Beach. It’s in this zone that you’ll start making Brick yourself.

### How to Make Brick

Similar to how you obtain Ingots from Ore, Bricks are not found directly in the wild. Instead, you gather raw materials and then transform them. For Brick, the raw material is Squishy Clay.

Squishy Clay can be found by using Rock Smash on the brown land cubes in Bleak Beach. These cubes are abundant in the developed area flooded with water when you arrive, near the abandoned Poke Center, and scattered along the shores. Smash the land cubes, and they will drop Squishy Clay.

If you’re familiar with alchemy or how crafting systems work, you might guess you need to heat the Squishy Clay. However, unlike Ore and Ash, Squishy Clay doesn’t go into the Smelting Furnace. Instead, you’ll need to find a Torchic, which produces two Bricks for each Squishy Clay. A single Torchic can turn 10 Squishy Clays into 20 Bricks at a time.

### Where to Find Torchic

Torchic has a unique habitat called the Chirp-Chirp Meal, which is straightforward to build. It requires a Wooden Birdhouse, a Table, and Plated Food, all of which can be found just behind the Poke Center on the right. The components are already set up on-site, except for the food.

Put the plate on the table (which is slightly off to the side) and place common food like a Leppa Berry on it. After setting up the habitat, check back regularly. If you hear the birdhouse rattling, interact with it to find a Torchic inside.

### What Is Brick Used For in Pokémon Pokopia?

In Bleak Beach, two main construction projects require Brick. The most obvious is the Poke Center, which needs 20 Brick along with 10 Twine, 10 Sea Glass Fragments, and 5 Iron Ore. Torchic can produce all this Brick in a single session, although the first time it converts Squishy Clay to Brick, it will only process one Squishy Clay to show you how it works.

Another building opportunity is the Pikach Fountain, located between the Poke Center and Smeargle’s artist hideout. It requires 10 Brick, totaling 30 Brick needed altogether—meaning you’ll need 15 Squishy Clays. Torchic can make this in two sessions, or three if you include the initial interaction where it only produces two bricks.
