The rebuilding story in Wishvale, called “Kindlers of the Flame,” is more detailed and longer than many players might expect. There are eight chapters, with some being quite in-depth. The fourth and fifth chapters are especially memorable for many players, but I won’t spoil the reasons here.
Along with key story moments, these chapters also lead to the townspeople rebuilding their church. Upgrading the church offers several nice benefits, but the main feature is the introduction of Azure Flamestones, which unlock special features each time you collect one. Here’s where to find all of them.
What Are Azure Flamestones?
Azure Flamestones are three specific collectibles that have practical uses. After Chapter 5, once the altar is built in Wishvale, you can add these Flamestones one by one. Each time you do, you get to unlock one of three perks. Collecting all three grants access to all features.
The three features are:
- Fast travel to routes and dungeons, not just towns.
- See the locations of elite enemies and unopened treasure chests across the world.
- Talk to animals.
Expanding your fast travel options can be very helpful, especially since many side quests send you to remote places. However, I recommend starting with the animal communication feature. Many animals in the game can join Wishvale as permanent residents, each with unique abilities. Some can also give you valuable rewards through the Inquiry system.
Spotting elite enemies and unopened treasure chests is relatively easy because they are marked on the maps as you explore. When you backtrack to open earlier missed chests, you can quickly identify their locations on your map. While it’s useful to know the number of chests in each area, I suggest using this feature last.
Every Azure Flamestone Location
There are only three Flamestones, but finding two of them can be tricky. The game does a good job hiding them, and one isn’t available until later in the story. The first two are accessible early if you progress quickly with Wishvale.
| Location | How to Find It |
|---|---|
| Grandport | Talk to the Traveling Merchant and try to persuade them. If your success rate is low, come back later after raising your wealth stat. |
| Automatic | This Flamestone is given automatically once the altar is built. It’s very straightforward. |
| Silver Spring | Found in the “Bestower of Wealth” Chapter 3 dungeon. Look for a glowing blue item towards the end of the dungeon. If missed, you can return later. |
Getting the Flamestones requires some effort, especially since one appears only later in the game. Starting early by advancing Wishvale’s level will help you obtain them smoothly.
