As soon as you start playing Hollow Knight: Silksong, you’ll notice your health bar and a spool of silk displayed in the top left corner of your screen. You can restore silk by defeating enemies or collecting silk spools scattered throughout different game areas. With silk, you can heal yourself or activate various abilities and tools.
However, to advance through the endgame, you need a way to passively regenerate silk, and that’s where Silk Hearts come into play. Each Silk Heart allows you to passively regenerate one silk on your spool. There are three Silk Hearts in total in the game world.
Silk Heart Location One
You’ll find your first Silk Heart early in the game, which will make it easier to use many early abilities, such as Needolin. To get it, you must first earn your initial Silk Skill after completing the Marrow area. Then, return to the Bellway in The Marrow to start your fight against the Bell Beast. Since this is only your second boss encounter, it’s relatively simple to defeat. After the Bell Beast is defeated, an orb will spawn on the battlefield. Interacting with it will transport you to a silk-platform area where you’ll need to climb a few platforms to reach the Silk Heart.
Silk Heart Location Two
The route to the second Silk Heart is longer. First, you need to reach the Citadel after beating the Last Judge. Then make your way to the top right section called Songclave. If you haven’t activated Songclave yet, you can find the White Key on the top right edge or purchase it from Jubilana if it’s already activated. Use the White Key to enter Whiteward, then find the Surgeon’s Key in the top right area. Next, fight The Unravelled, located to the left of the elevator that brought you down. After defeating The Unravelled, a second orb will appear, allowing you to access the second Silk Heart through a platforming challenge. The journey involves advancing through the Citadel, reaching the top right, and completing a series of platforms to reach the orb and claim the second Silk Heart.
Silk Heart Location Three
For the final Silk Heart, you need to progress near the end of the second act of Silksong. This involves obtaining three melodies after defeating the Cogwork Dancers boss. Once you have all three, use the giant elevator at the boss’s arena to ascend to The Cradle, where you will encounter Lace for the second time. After defeating Lace, a final orb will appear. Completing the platforming challenge in the Silk area will grant you your last Silk Heart.
