Battlefield 6 has finally arrived, but many are asking, where’s the battle pass? We’re currently in a waiting period between the game’s launch and the start of the first season. This upcoming season will add a reward track to earn rewards, along with new maps, game modes, vehicles, weapons, timed events, and more.
The first season is set to kick off at the end of October, and the battle pass is just the start. There are three chapters planned, each bringing a variety of new content to keep the game engaging all year long.
If you’re curious about what’s planned for 2025, here’s a full summary.
When does Season 1 start?
Season 1 begins on October 28, with the first of three chapters. Each chapter will introduce fresh content, including new maps, weapons, and game modes.
Season 1 Content Schedule:
- Rogue Ops launches October 28 with three new weapons, a new map, a multiplayer mode, and a vehicle.
- The second chapter, California Resistance, arrives on November 18, bringing two new weapons, a new map, and a new game mode.
- The final chapter, Winter Offensive, launches on December 9, featuring a limited-time map update tied to winter, along with new weapons and gameplay mechanics.
Battlefield 6 Roadmap Highlights:
- Rogue Ops features a new infantry support vehicle with seats for a driver, a roof gunner, and two passengers.
- The update includes three new weapons: SOR-300C carbine, Mini Fix sniper rifle, and the GGH-22 pistol.
- Additionally, a new attachment, the Slim Handstop, will be available for various rifles and light machine guns.
Second Chapter — California Resistance:
This chapter focuses on freeing Southern California, specifically a suburb called Eastwood, which is connected to a golf course. The story revolves around sleeper agents activating in the community.
- It introduces two new weapons, a new map, and a new mode.
- The new mode is a smaller team-based game called Strikepoint, similar to Counter-Strike, where two squads of four fight to control a key objective with only one life per person.
- Returning features include battle pickups — powerful weapons scattered across maps, though their locations are kept secret.
California Resistance Content Includes:
- New weapons: DB-12 shotgun and M327 Trait revolver.
- A new attachment — the Low Powered Variable Optic (LPVO).
- One new underbarrel attachment: the Slim Handstop.
Third Chapter — Winter Offensive:
Set to launch on December 9, this chapter won’t add a new map but will feature a seasonal update to an existing one.
- The Empire State map will be covered in snow, providing a winter-themed visual change.
- A new limited-time event, Ice Lock, will introduce a mechanic called “Freeze,” inspired by the snowy streets of New York City.
- The only new weapon here is the Ice Climbing Axe, designed for environmental destruction.
Battle Royale Mode:
A key omission from the current roadmap is the battle royale mode announced earlier this year. Rumors suggest it might debut sometime in 2025, potentially alongside Season 1, but no official date has been confirmed.
- Battlefield Labs started testing the mode in September.
- While details remain scarce, fans are eagerly awaiting more information on this new addition.
