Schedule 1: A Thriving Drug Empire Simulator
Schedule 1 has quickly become a phenomenon, pulling in hundreds of thousands of players on Steam and racking up millions of sales. This engaging drug-dealing simulator has captured the attention of gamers, and we anticipate plenty of exciting new content in the upcoming months. While there isn’t a formal roadmap available, the developer’s Trello board offers a glimpse of what lies ahead for the game.
Let’s dive into some of the anticipated features and potential timelines for their implementation in Schedule 1!
Upcoming Updates for Schedule 1
As Schedule 1 has only recently launched in early access on March 24, 2025, the exact timing of future updates remains uncertain. However, the Trello board hints at monthly updates, suggesting we could expect the first update around mid to late April. In a recent message from the developers, TVGS indicated their commitment to rolling out monthly updates "for the next few years." Exciting news for fans!
Community Involvement
There’s a good chance that monthly polls will be initiated, allowing the community to vote on new features. Joining the game’s Discord is a great way to stay engaged and participate in these decisions!
Anticipated Features for Schedule 1
The Trello board outlines a variety of exciting new features that are in the works for the game.
New Drugs
Among the additions, new drugs like Shrooms and MDMA are in the pipeline. These will likely introduce new Suppliers within the later stages of the game, allowing players to craft an array of unique combinations.
New Customers
It’s expected that new customers will be introduced alongside fresh areas on the map. There’s also talk of Traveling Customers—individuals who will pop in and out of Hyland Point requiring specific products. These could include groups like biker gangs, hippies, and other characters involved in the underground trade.
Fishing Minigame
A fishing minigame is reportedly on its way! Players can expect to catch fish to sell to Randy. With a fishing shop already in place near the Docks, we think this update might be among the first to roll out. Who knows, you might even reel in some rare items—like gold bars—while enjoying the game’s captivating soundtrack.
Weather System
Currently, Schedule 1 features a day-night cycle, but upcoming updates plan to integrate various weather effects including rain and clouds, which will likely evolve over time.
Custom Packaging
Every successful drug empire has its unique branding. Soon, you’ll have the ability to create custom packaging and labels for your products. This feature comes with an update that will let players ship products in different forms, such as bricks of weed, accommodating new customers who might seek different quantities.
Property Customization
If you’ve ever wanted to enhance your homes in Schedule 1, future updates will allow you to add wallpaper, furniture, and other decorative items, making your space feel more personalized.
The Cartel
The Cartel will play a more prominent role in future gameplay. Previously featured but then absent, they will be able to launch ambushes on your dealers, heightening the risks associated with your operations.
Parkour Mechanics
While players can currently perform some amusing character antics, like an infinite jump glitch, future updates will introduce real parkour mechanics for navigating new heights within the game world.
Map Expansion
Two new areas are currently planned for the map—a shanty town in the southwest and a gated community in the northwest. Both locations are likely to feature new customers and dealers, with the gated community offering more modern housing options. Additionally, a potential sewer network could provide a stealthy way to evade the police during nighttime operations.
Enhanced Staffing Options
Future updates intend to introduce drivers and logistics workers to help streamline product transportation from your shelves to your dealers. These staff members may also manage cash laundering between properties.
Improved Police Interaction
The police mechanics in Schedule 1 are in need of enhancement. Future updates aim to bolster their functionality, potentially including options to bribe officers and a new system where your property generates heat—making police raids more likely.
Additional Features
There are also several exciting minor features in the works, including:
- New rare treasures discovered during gameplay
- Emotes for interacting with friends
- The ability to break into vehicle trunks, plus a new van for extra storage
- New carrying bags for easier item management
- In-game voice chat
- A new pistol option
- Steam deck and controller support
- A jukebox for enjoying music during your gameplay
- A quirky rideable wheelchair!
The future of Schedule 1 looks promising, and we eagerly await further updates on new content as well as fresh additions to the Trello board. Stay tuned for more developments!
