Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater isn’t a super serious game, and that’s actually a compliment. It combines genuine emotion with wild characters and crazy situations, and that mix makes it one of the most fun video game series out there.
Alongside the main story, there’s a mini-game called Snake vs. Monkey. It takes place separately from the main events and plays quite differently. It’s a good way to take a break from all the action—whether the story is dark or funny.
What Is The Snake Vs. Monkey Minigame?
The Snake vs. Monkey minigame is a race against the clock across seven different levels. There’s a quick intro explaining what’s going on, then you can pick five of the levels to play, with the other two unlocking as you make progress in the main game.
In this mini-game, your goal is to find and catch the monkeys hiding around each level. These levels are borrowed from the main campaign, and the monkeys range from running openly to hiding in sneaky spots.
How To Capture Every Monkey
Usually, you can find the monkeys just by walking around each level. When you spot one, you can use your EZ-Gun or throw a Stun Grenade to make it stop moving. Then, walk up to the monkey to capture it.
It’s important to note that if a monkey sees you, it will try to run away. While it’s still pretty easy to catch it, things can get a little chaotic if multiple monkeys start running at once.
Some monkeys will be harder to find than others. When that happens, use your Directional Microphone. Point it around the area, and you’ll hear clues that guide you to the missing monkeys.
