There are many systems in Where Winds Meet, and some things just pop up unexpectedly or are hidden deep within menus. It can be confusing to keep track of everything when dozens of pop-ups appear on your screen at once.
The Arsenal is a system that doesn’t become available immediately. Instead, it unlocks gradually as you progress in the game, making it easier to learn at your own pace. While understanding other systems helps you maximize its benefits, the Arsenal ensures that your efforts to farm gear are more rewarding.
What Is The Arsenal?
The Arsenal is a feature that allows you to give your old gear a new purpose. Usually, you might recycle old equipment for extra coins or use it to improve your current gear. The Arsenal expands on this, giving your leftover gear a new home.
It appears as a new section within the Develop screen, where you can equip old gear just like setting up a loadout. You can equip one of each item type to the Arsenal. As your gear’s overall level and mastery increase, so does its tier—up to Tier 6, which offers the highest bonuses. Different Arsenals start at Level 41, and at level 56, you unlock the next level, such as Level 51, and so on. The maximum tier for any Arsenal is Tier 6, which grants the best bonus. Over-leveling your Arsenal won’t give extra benefits beyond Tier 6.
Every Arsenal provides bonus maximum HP and additional damage depending on its path, which we’ll cover later. You can equip all your Arsenals simultaneously, and the bonuses stack, increasing your overall power as you unlock more. That means even older gear can still be useful.
How Do You Unlock The Arsenal?
The Arsenal system unlocks as you progress, which makes sense because its purpose is to repurpose old gear you’ve already used.
You first get access to the Arsenal at Level 51, after reaching Solo Mode Level 6 with a Level 41 Arsenal. Once you hit Level 56, you unlock the Level 51 Arsenal, and so forth, stacking new ones on top of each other. As you hit each new level, you’ll be using new gear, and enemies will drop higher-level equipment, so your existing gear becomes less useful. That’s when the Arsenal comes in handy to store and upgrade your old gear.
Arsenal Paths
The Arsenal offers many benefits, with increased max HP being the baseline for all paths. You can choose a specific path to focus on certain attack types, gaining stronger bonuses in those areas. The options include:
- General: Boosts your minimum and maximum physical attack.
- Bellstrike: Increases Bellstrike attack power.
- Stonesplit: Boosts Stonesplit attack.
- Silk Binding: Enhances Silk Bind attack.
Each weapon style in the game has its own specific path. For instance, the Nameless Sword and Spear are Bellstrike weapons, so a Bellstrike Arsenal path would strengthen those. Meanwhile, the Infernal Twinblades and Mortal Rope Dart are Bamboocut weapons, which follow the Stonesplit path.
If you’re using two weapons of the same path, it’s best to set your Arsenal to that same path. If your weapons differ, the General path provides a broad attack boost that applies to all weapons, though to a lesser extent.
Note that you can’t set different paths for each Arsenal; the path applies to all of them equally. For maximum benefit, plan your build around a specific path.
Even though the bonuses shown in the Arsenal are the same across paths, the actual bonuses on your weapons will vary, as the scaling differs depending on the chosen path.
Can You Reclaim Gear From the Arsenal?
Putting gear into the Arsenal has two main advantages: you gain the bonuses, and you free up space in your inventory.
If you decide you want to use those items again, reclaiming gear is easy. Simply remove the item from the Arsenal, and it will return to your bag exactly as it was when you put it in. This means you can upgrade or reuse old gear without losing it permanently. You can also continue to tune or recycle gear after reclaiming it, making the Arsenal a flexible system for managing your equipment.
