Bo Blood is a rare resource in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, essential for unlocking specific abilities in the Impetus Repository. These abilities include increasing Madness Levels, extending the duration of Madness effects, and gaining additional charges of Madness Incense. To upgrade your Madness skills, you need eight drops of Bo Blood, with each skill having multiple level options.

This substance is highly valuable and guarded by a sinister demon. Finding Bo Blood is a challenge, as each drop requires overcoming the demon that holds it. Beyond just obtaining the blood, your journey also involves confronting and defeating Inner Demons, of which there are six in total. Each demon drops Bo Blood and often leaves behind special rewards like Tempering Needles or rare items such as weapons or upgrade materials, either in chests or guarded areas.

Each Inner Demon spawns in unique locations:

1. Annalum – Worship’s Rise: Accessed by crossing an invisible bridge near Shu Sanctum, then navigating through the town and passing a torch demon miniboss. The demon is found behind a building on a downhill path, with a chest containing a Pixiu Pendant nearby.

2. Doomwillow Beach: Traverse to the back of the main area, crossing a river to reach a shrine. The demon lurks between two possessed trees, with a Faint Red Feather on the ground as a marker.

3. Rebel Camp, Cloudspire Outskirts: From the shrine, travel along the hill past the first tower, then approach a burning building by racing down a monster-infested hill. The demon lies beyond, guarding a chest with a Brilliant Red Feather.

4. Snowfall Palace, Cloudspire City: Inside the palace, progress to a chamber with an elevator. Use the pressure plate to access a hidden treasury below—here, the demon guards a chest holding the Boreal Abyss weapon.

5. Refugee Camp, Mt. Zhenwu: Descend the hill toward the temple, passing a lake with a strong avian enemy. The demon is behind the pond, guarding a chest with the Fa – Combo Lightning Benediction.

6. Avian Marsh: This demon is the hardest to find. From the marsh shrine, follow the stream, climb a hill, and then carefully approach a dried nest guarded by a corruption monster. The demon appears in a pit below, with a Brilliant Red Feather nearby.

Boss fights are part of the questline, including Nightmare Demon at Worship’s Rise and Demon of Obsession at Worship’s Rise as well. These battles often involve multiple phases and require mastery of weapon disciplines to succeed. The Demon of Obsession is particularly challenging, available after completing specific questlines and speaking to certain NPCs, and is encountered in the area where you fought Lu Hongliu.

Defeating these Inner Demons and gathering Bo Blood are key steps in progressing through the game’s risks and rewards system, unlocking powerful abilities, and earning unique items and achievements.
