Electromagnetic Storms in Arc Raiders are special events that happen multiple times a day on certain maps. During these storms, the environment changes with intense lightning and strong winds, affecting both how the game looks and how players should play. These storms last up to an hour, and players can choose to enter maps when a storm is happening, which adds extra challenge.
When an Electromagnetic Storm is active, several effects occur:
- Fewer extraction points available, making it harder to escape.
- Raider hatches are all closed, so keys cannot be used.
- Lightning will strike at random spots, marked by sparks on the ground. Stay clear to avoid taking big damage.
- The overall difficulty of the map increases.
- Players earn double points for trials.
There are hints about strange formations appearing during storms, but no one in the community has found these yet. Interestingly, storms do not improve loot drops like Night Raids, so risking the storm doesn’t yield better rewards.
Tips for Surviving Electromagnetic Storms:
- Watch out for campers. With fewer escape points, some enemies might hide and wait for players to leave, ready to attack.
- Keep some stamina handy. The lightning can strike without warning, so be prepared to dodge quickly.
- Use lightning against enemies. If you can lure an Arc robot into a strike, it will be stunned and take damage—great for gaining an advantage, though tricky to pull off.
- Stealth works better during storms. The thunder and darkness make it easier to sneak around and stay unnoticed.
Overall, storms add a unique twist, requiring players to stay alert and adapt their strategies. Happy surviving out there!
