Benedictions in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Benedictions are like weapon upgrade slots in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. As you play and defeat tough enemies or find hidden treasures, you’ll unlock Benedictions. These upgrades improve your fighting skills, add special effects to your combos, enhance spellcasting, and more. They give you a better chance against your enemies.
But, how do Benedictions work, and which ones are best for each weapon? In this guide, we’ll explain some early-game Benedictions, where to attach them, and how the system functions overall in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
What Are Benedictions?
In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Benedictions are powerful weapon upgrades that you can attach to each weapon.
When you attach a Benediction to a weapon, you gain its benefit whenever you use that weapon. This can help enhance your build in many ways.
Benediction Benefit | Details |
---|---|
Create Weapon Synergy |
Many Benedictions work together with specific weapons to create powerful effects. For example, if you have a skill that boosts your Skyborn Might on a sword, a Benediction that also increases Skyborn Might will stack and make your attacks stronger. |
Round Out Weak Spots |
If you’re using a weapon whose skill tree isn’t fully upgraded, Benedictions can fill in gaps. ADVERTISEMENT Some Benedictions increase the strength of blocks or clashes, helping you defend better. |
Improve Attack Power |
Broadly, Benedictions are great for boosting your overall damage, especially for Skyborn Might attacks. |
How to Use Benedictions
To attach Benedictions, you first need to visit a Shrine.
Unlike pendants or temporary buffs, you can’t change Benedictions outside a Shrine. Make sure you select the right Benedictions before heading into battle.
At the Shrine, pray and open the ‘Benedictions’ menu. Here, you can see your weapons and which Benedictions they have socketed.
There are three types of Benedictions you can use:
- Oath
- Memory
- Wisdom
The slots limit how many Benedictions each weapon can hold. You can only use each Benediction once, so you can’t put the same one on different weapons.
In the menu, select the weapon you want to upgrade, then add Benedictions to the available slots.
It’s recommended to equip at least one Benediction per weapon. This way, if you switch weapons out in the field without nearby Shrines, you’ll still enjoy some benefits from each weapon’s Benedictions.
Best Early-Game Benedictions
Early in your adventure, it’s smart to put some Benedictions on your starting weapons to face tougher enemies better.
Here are some top early-game Benediction combos you can use:
Weapon | Benedictions | Details |
---|---|---|
Cloudfrost’s Edge | Oath – Blocking Clash Wisdom – Skyborn Magic |
This sword can gain Skyborn Might quickly with the Impetus skill, stacking with quick attacks. Using the Blocking Clash Benediction boosts your blocking and enhances spell damage each time you gather Skyborn Might. |
Red-Tassled Spear | Oath – Skyborn Ward Wisdom – Plunging Force |
This spear is fast and has strong combo potential. The Benedictions increase the effectiveness of your plunging attacks and reduce damage as your Skyborn Might grows, making it easier to stay close to enemies. |
Dual Blades | Wisdom – Counter Force |
Dual blades can perform counters with Clash ability. The Counter Force Benediction makes your counters more powerful and usable more often. |
Overall, Benedictions are about shaping your style of play. Try different combinations based on your enemies and your strategy.
