As you move forward in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll come across various characters, both heroes and villains, who are in need of your assistance. Your role as the leader of the valley involves everything from planning community events to helping characters discover their own potential. It’s your responsibility to provide support and maintain harmony in the valley.
Even Hades, the fiery ruler of the Underworld, occasionally finds himself in need of help. Step in to show him the true meaning of community spirit, even when tensions run high. He may be searching for a friend—or perhaps just a new lackey in his realm.
How to Break Marble in the Storybook Vale
Once you’ve unlocked Hades, he will talk to you about restoring his domain. The process won’t be quick, but starting off correctly is essential if you want to reach Mount Olympus and stop Maleficent, or so Hades suggests.
The truth is, he’s just fed up with the sight of dilapidated marble pillars on his lawn. Unfortunately, your Royal Pickaxe alone won’t be enough to break them down. With Hades’ help, however, you can overcome this obstacle!
To assist him in crafting a special potion for your pickaxe, you will need to gather the following materials:
- Three Crimson Eternal Poppies
- Five Posidonia
- Ten Gravel
After collecting everything from the Elysian Fields, you can present these items to Hades. He’ll enhance your Royal Pickaxe, allowing you to break the marble.
How to Craft Hades Statues
Hades also wants you to tidy up his domain, especially by capturing the pesky little demon Snippets that are floating around. Utilize your Royal Pickaxe to break down ten pieces of marble, and employ your Royal Net to catch five Snippets.
Pro Tip: You can set up traps in the area to help snag the Snippets more easily!
After you’ve completed the cleanup, return to Hades. He’ll ask you to construct statues of him using the materials you’ve gathered. To do this, you will need to mine for four marble, four magma, and four gold nuggets.
Once you have these materials, head to your Crafting Station to create the statues. After crafting each one, place them around the Elysian Fields. When you’re finished, don’t forget to go back to Hades.
Where to Find Lightning Spice in the Storybook Vale
The next step is to gather feedback about the statues. Hades will want you to dress in a disguise comprised of these clothing pieces:
- Rustic Clothing
- Green Clothing
- Brown Clothing
In your stealthy outfit, make your way to the Library of Lore to listen in on what others are saying about the statues. After you’ve gathered some intel, speak with the Lorekeeper to find out what should happen next.
She will mention a lighting device located in the east wing that can enhance Hades’ statues, but you’ll need to energize it with lightning spice. Add three of these spices into the machine, and then talk to Hades in the east wing to explain your plan.
Once you fill him in, things might get a little out of hand as Hades gets overly excited and the machine malfunctions. Although you may be left to deal with the chaos, the quest wraps up here, and you’re free to continue your journey in the valley.
