Obtaining the Bottomless Pot
Your first task in finding the Ultimate Key is to secure the Bottomless Pot. This item can be found on the northwestern island of Edina, which is guarded by sentinels that prohibit entry to outsiders. Use the Fade spell or a Fading Jenny to make yourself and your party invisible, enabling you to sneak past the guards and reach the castle’s basement.
Once in the basement, you’ll face a puzzle requiring you to position three rocks onto pressure plates without pushing them into the water. Should you make a mistake, the puzzle can be easily reset, so there’s no need to stress over errors. Completing the puzzle opens a door at the back of the room, leading to a chest containing the Bottomless Pot along with a quirky note about its function.

Where to Find the Ultimate Key Part 2 (Shallow Shrine Location)
Beginning at Shrine of the Dwarf
Once you’ve acquired the Bottomless Pot, set your course for the center of the northern ocean, situated between the northeastern and northwestern continents. The Shrine of the Dwarf, located at the snowy edge of a vast forest area, is an ideal place to start your journey. After sailing eastward for a while, you’ll encounter a series of large rocks marking the entrance to the Shallow Shrine, where the Ultimate Key is concealed.
When you get to the rocks, a prompt will ask if you want to drop the Bottomless Pot into the water. Choose “Yes” to trigger a cutscene that unveils the Shallow Shrine hidden beneath the waves, allowing your party to enter its depths. Once inside, you can open the chest located in the center of the room to claim the Ultimate Key.
A Mini Medal is hidden on the ground just north of the chest containing the Ultimate Key.
