In Tiny Pasture, the charming game featuring cute creatures at the bottom of your desktop screen, there are two main ways to add animals to your collection. You can purchase them directly from the shop, or you can breed two similar animals to create a new one.
While breeding isn’t essential for gameplay, there are several compelling reasons to give it a try. In this guide, we’ll discuss the advantages of breeding, how to unlock this feature, and the steps to breed your animals.
Reasons to Breed Animals in Tiny Pasture
When you breed two similar animals, both are removed from your pasture, resulting in a new creature. This process offers several benefits, such as:
- Unlocking the New Animal! achievement, awarded for your first bred animal.
- Freeing up space for new animals in your collection.
- The new animal will inherit the combined earnings of its parents, making it more profitable.
- Chance to create a different colored animal without needing to spend coins to buy one.
How to Breed Animals in Tiny Pasture
To start breeding, first, you need to buy the Mystery Curtain from the Facilities shop for 8,000 coins and place it in your pasture. This will be your gateway to breeding.
As you accumulate more coins and expand your animal collection, you can upgrade the Mystery Curtain up to level 5, the maximum. Each upgrade reduces the waiting time between breeding attempts.
Once the Mystery Curtain is set up, you can access the breeding menu either from the Mystery Curtain shop page or your animal inventory page.
To breed, select an animal on the left and another on the right. In the center, you’ll find drop-down menus to choose the name and color of the new animal, with options such as:
Name |
Color |
---|---|
Do not inherit name. |
Random color. |
Inherit name from left parent. |
Inherit color from left parent. |
Inherit name from right parent. |
Inherit color from right parent. |
After making your selections, click Confirm to initiate the breeding process. The breeding curtain will close and shake with hearts floating around. A few moments later, your new, very hungry animal will appear. Don’t forget to feed it and allow it to grow to adulthood as you normally would.
