The Gunner Archetype is one of the new features available, and if you’ve been keeping up with More’s quests, this is a must-have. You can unlock this Archetype through the Providing a Spark quest. Unlike the Merchant and Faker Archetypes, which are more challenging to get, the Gunner is relatively straightforward to obtain but can be easily overlooked.
How to Start the Providing a Spark Quest
The Providing a Spark quest unfolds naturally as the narrative progresses. Once the Tournament for the Throne is officially declared, Nueras will assign you the quest on 6/26 while you are onboard the Gauntlet Runner heading to Martira.
This quest will lead you to Komero Village, located about a day’s travel from Martira, where you’ll need to retrieve an artifact for the quest giver. Completing this task will add Nueras to your Followers and unlock the Gunner Archetype.
If you’ve already finished More’s initial task and
are required to learn about the Gunner Archetype for his next, you’ll need to
wait until this part of the story to advance his Follower connection.
How to Complete the Providing a Spark Quest
The quest is automatically fulfilled once you arrive in Komero Village. On 6/29, after you’ve acquired the teleportation ability, a Gloomy Youth near the fountain in Martira’s Thoroughfare Square will offer you the Hatching a Plan quest if you engage him. This will allow you to travel to Komero, accessible from the round table on the Gauntlet Runner.
Once you get to Komero, you’ll find that exploration is limited; you will only have a short conversation with a local. He will give you the Glass Ornament, the required relic, along with the Inventor’s Journal, which will be essential for Nueras’s forthcoming quest.
These items will then be automatically transferred to Nueras, marking the completion of the Providing a Spark quest while also unlocking the Gunner Archetype. Afterward, be sure to visit More in Akademia when you have a chance to increase his follower bond, gain the Magic Seeker Archetype, and receive his next assignment.

don’t miss out on buying the Practical Pigeon Parcel from the Obliging Shopkeep in the Key Items tab for
400 Revee
to fulfill the
Gloomy Youth’s quest before the July 11 deadline.
Additionally, make sure to
pick up five Magla Pills
that are priced at 200 Revee each, as they’re rare and can be very useful in a boss fight!
