Alternatively, you can obtain it by defeating demi-human enemies that drop the knife, though it has a modest drop rate of just 2.7% with 100 points in the Discovery attribute.

To boost your Discovery, increase your Vigor stat beyond level 30 or consume a Silver Pickled Fowl Foot.
