With the launch of Season 23 in Apex Legends, Rift Relics have started to pop up all over the maps. Every week brings a new quest tied to these Relics, and during Split 2, players were introduced to a weapon unique to them.

Completing these missions rewards you with Apex Packs. This guide is designed to help you locate Rift Relics, understand the potential loot inside, and provide tips for your search. Let’s jump into it by first explaining what Rift Relics are.

What Are Rift Relics?

Rift Relics are essentially Loot Ticks that contain exclusive loot. They appear across the map only in Casual modes, including Trios and Duos, making their loot unavailable elsewhere in the game.

Each Rift Relic holds two randomly chosen items from a selection of drops and can be destroyed by dealing damage like a typical Loot Tick.

Potential drops include Relic Weapons and Boost Kits.

What Are Relic Weapons?

A Relic G7 Scout, a Relic Weapon found in Rift Relics in Apex Legends.

Relic Weapons are the original versions of weapons; they feature the mechanics they had at their release. For instance, the Relic G7 Scout has minimal recoil and includes a 4-8x Sniper Scope, making it more effective.

The only exception is the EPG-1, which is a completely new weapon added in Split 2, formerly hinted at for Apex Legends. Originating from Titanfall 2, it functions more like an RPG, launching explosive plasma blasts at foes.

What Are Boost Kits?

Two Boost Kits that can only be found in Rift Relics in Apex Legends.

Boost Kits are passive items that occupy your survival slot, typically reserved for Heat Shields and Evac Towers. They provide powerful buffs that go beyond standard survival items.

While they generally enhance survivability over offensive capabilities, some Boost Kits do offer damage bonuses as well.

How to Get Rift Relics?

Three purple beacons indicating Rift Relics in Apex Legends.

To find Rift Relics, join a Duos or Trios match, as this system operates under a Limited Time Mode (LTM) and is not available in Ranked play.

Once the match begins and all players have dropped, Rift Relics will spawn at random locations on the map. They will be spaced out, so two won’t appear in the same spot. You’ll get a notification when they start to spawn, and you can identify their locations by the purple beacons coming from above.

These beacons indicate where Rift Relics are, so be prepared for enemies who might also be after them. When you reach a Rift Relic, destroy it to access the loot inside.

If two Boost Kits come from one Rift Relic, keep in mind that only one can be picked up, so you must choose wisely.

After the initial wave, each closing Ring will lead to a new spawn of Rift Relics. As the map shrinks with the Ring, the Relics will appear closer together in each wave.

Rift Relics remaining from previous rounds will detonate if they’re caught in the Ring, causing the loot inside to vanish completely.

All Items That Can Spawn in Rift Relics

The Relic Prowler, an item found in Rift Relics in Apex Legends.

Each week, a new item is added to the loot pool you might find in the Rift Relics. However, this list isn’t exhaustive; more items will be revealed over time. Currently, you can find these Relic Weapons from the Relics, ranked from best to worst:

Weapon

Description

Relic Prowler

This gun was known for its minimal recoil and high damage, especially with the Selectfire Hopup. It’s a strong weapon that can easily dominate opponents.

Relic Alternator

With Disruptor Rounds, this weapon could wipe out shields in an instant, making it arguably one of the best weapons in the game’s early days.

Relic Mastiff

This powerful shotgun was once a Care Package item. As a random drop from Rift Relics, it still has considerable damage potential.

Relic Spitfire

With its enormous magazine size, you can take down multiple enemies without having to reload, though it lacks Hop-ups.

Relic Wingman

This iconic weapon is back in its former glory and still features a Skullpiercer for increased damage.

EPG-1

This new weapon has a unique function; although it can be situational, it’s useful for clearing groups of enemies with its grenade-like attacks.

Relic G7 Scout

Once the best sniper in the game, its low recoil and high magazine size provide an edge for skilled players.

Relic 30-30

This Marksman weapon stands strong, especially with its fast reloads and headshot damage capabilities.

Relic L-Star

While it has improved since its original launch, modern versions of the L-Star allow for more ammo capacity.

Additionally, here are the Boost Kits you can discover, also ranked from best to worst:

Boost Kit

Description

Void Reflex

This Boost Kit enables you to phase for a few seconds after taking lethal damage, allowing you to reposition and heal. It functions like Wraith’s phase but is instant and has a cooldown.

Nessies

These adorable creatures automatically chase and attack opponents. While they may reveal your location, they are excellent for distracting enemies and dealing bonus damage.

Reactive Regen

This passive allows you to regenerate health and shields while out of combat. It’s handy during the final circles, especially if healing items are scarce.

Squal Heal

Whenever you heal, nearby teammates also regain health. This can be effective, but it requires close proximity to your squad.

Hover

This ability enables players to hover mid-air while aiming down sights. However, it offers limited utility, as players are rarely airborne.
