In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to locate the Perfumed Oil of Ranah in Elden Ring and how to harness it to build an impressive Dexterity-focused character.

Where to Find the Perfumed Oil of Ranah

You can find the Perfumed Oil of Ranah on a small island in the southern part of the Cerulean Coast.

This island also features the Southern Nameless Mausoleum, the resting place of the Dancer of Ranah.

To get to the Cerulean Coast, defeat the Golden Hippopotamus at the beginning of Shadow Keep, then head to the left. Ascend the path until you reach rooftops dotted with burning ships.

On the other side of the courtyard, stick to the left wall until you spot a ladder leading downward. Descend the ladder and enter the waterfall to uncover a hidden route. Follow it until you find a room with the Domain of the Dragons painting.

Smash the illusory wall on the right to unlock a new passage. Follow this trail and enter the coffin to reach the Ruins of Unte. Continue down the path to the right until you arrive at the Recluse’s River Downstream site of grace.

Stick to the right again as you proceed, and you’ll find a vast opening leading to a field teeming with blue flowers. Welcome to the Cerulean Coast in Elden Ring.

Starting from the Cerulean Coast site of grace, head south along the shoreline until you spot a tree near a cliff edge. You should see an island across the water.

Carefully drop down from the cliff and examine the base of the tree to discover an opening that leads into a cave. Proceed through the cave heading south, and you’ll reach the small southern island of the Cerulean Coast.

Upon exiting the cave, turn around and scale the small cliff. Watch out for two giant crabs lurking nearby. Near the edge of the cliff, facing the Southern Nameless Mausoleum, you’ll find a corpse.

Stats and Applications of Perfumed Oil of Ranah

The Perfumed Oil of Ranah is an FP-consuming tool that unleashes waves of flames in front of the user. It costs 13 FP to use and has an A scaling with Dexterity, making it an essential choice for Dexterity builds.

This item can be enhanced by any talismans or items that increase fire damage, but it does not benefit from the Perfumer’s Talisman in Elden Ring.

Optimal Build for Perfumed Oil of Ranah

This build will utilize a fully upgraded Finger Seal to cast various incantations.

Focusing on a Dexterity build with the Perfumed Oil of Ranah, distribute your attribute points as follows:

Vigor: 60
Dexterity: 80
Faith: 25
Endurance/Mind: 35

Equip the Rakshasa’s Armor set to boost your overall attack power by 8%. Select the following talismans for this build:

Fire Scorpion Charm: To augment fire attack strength.
Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman: To considerably enhance physical defense.
Two-Headed Turtle Talisman: Boosts stamina recovery by 22.5%.
Crimson Amber Medallion +2: Significantly increases your HP.

Mix the following crystal tears into the Flask of Wondrous Physick:

Flame Shrouding Cracked Tear: Temporarily amplifies fire attack power.
Bloodsucking Cracked Tear: Increases attack power while gradually consuming HP.

This build allows you to inflict upwards of 6000 damage to enemies susceptible to fire attacks. Be sure to wield the Perfumed Oil of Ranah in two hands for extra damage.

Keep in mind, though, that this setup isn’t ideal for bosses resistant to fire, such as Messmer the Impaler.
