Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension introduces another Mega Evolution, this time from the Sun & Moon generation. This era is one of the most popular in Pokémon history, so it’s exciting to see a return to it.
To unlock Mega Golisopod, you’ll need to put in some effort. Unlike other Mega evolutions in the DLC that you can encounter freely, Mega Golisopod isn’t a randomly appearing Pokémon. You won’t get a free one after defeating it in Hyperspace; instead, you have to find it through specific means.
Where to Find Golisopod
It’s From a Hyperspace Portal
Golisopod’s Mega Evolution Stone is found inside special Mega Hyperspace portals marked with a yellow question mark. We discovered this portal during the “Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 6” quest, late in the DLC campaign.
To battle Golisopod, enter the portal and interact with the Pokémon there. Golisopod isn’t particularly strong; for example, we encountered it at level 140, which was low for that stage of the game, thanks to bonuses inspired by donuts. Still, it can be quite durable, so bring a good team and make sure your Pokémon are prepared.
You can do more damage if you bring Pokémon that Golisopod is weak against. It is resistant or immune to several types:
Weak Against:
- Normal
- Ice
- Psychic
- Bug
- Dragon
- Steel
- Fairy
- Grass (weakness at 0.25 times damage)
Immune To:
- (No specific immunities listed, but Golisopod generally has some resistances)
How to Get Golisopod & Wimpod in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Look in Hyperspace
Wimpod can be found in Hyperspace portals and evolves into Golisopod at level 30. Often, you’ll find Golisopod in rare Hyperspace portals, sometimes together with Wimpod.
Once you obtain the Golisopod Mega Evolution stone, keep resetting the portals until you find the one you need. Doing this will bring you closer to completing the Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension.
