Getting Mega Garchomp in Pokémon Legends: Z-A can be a great move. Its Mega Evolution is powerful and can help you get through much of the game, especially because of its unique typing. Mega Garchomp is one of the returnees from Generation 9, and even with the new Pokémon like Mega Greninja, Mega Delphox, and Mega Chesnaught, it remains a fan favorite.
Garchomp is already a strong Pokémon as a pseudo-legendary from Generation 4, but Mega Evolution makes it even better by boosting its stats. It becomes tougher both offensively and defensively. Mega Garchomp is one of the best Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and the good news is that you can unlock it fairly early in the game without completing complicated missions.
### Where to Find Gible in Pokémon Legends: Z-A (Gible Location)
To get Mega Garchomp, you need to catch Gible first. You can find Gible early on in a Wild Zone in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Specifically, Gible appears in Wild Zone 8, which unlocks after you finish Main Mission 10. This zone is located west of Jaune Sector 1.
Gible can be found in holes scattered across the area. However, its spawn rate is lower than other Pokémon like Drilbur, so you might need some patience. Gible is aggressive and will try to attack you when it sees you, but it usually won’t run away. You can find it in the Wild Zone 8 during both day and night.
After catching Gible, you’ll need to train it to level 24 to evolve into Gabite, and then up to level 48 to evolve into Garchomp.
### How to Get Garchompite in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
To Mega Evolve Garchomp, you’ll need Garchompite, the Mega Stone for Garchomp. You can buy Garchompite from the Stone Emporium for 70,000 Pokémon Dollars once you’ve completed Main Mission 10. This means you can catch Gible and purchase the Mega Stone after learning about Mega Evolution and unlocking the store.
Once you have Garchompite, give it to Garchomp. When its Mega Energy meter fills up, you’ll be able to Mega Evolve it. With its powerful Ground-type moves, Mega Garchomp can help you take on tough opponents, including strong trainers like Canari and Grisham in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
