Pokémon Go has kicked off its latest season, called Might and Mastery, introducing a host of new Pokémon, features, and exciting updates. To begin, players can participate in the Powerful Potential Event this week, which promises various bonuses and even marks the debut of a new Pokémon in the game.
The Powerful Potential Event will run for almost a week, starting on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time and ending on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 8 p.m. local time. This significant event includes several bonuses and adjustments to various game features. Let’s dive into the details!
Introducing Kubfu
Kubfu makes its inaugural appearance in Pokémon Go during this event. It evolves into Urshifu with the help of 200 Kubfu Candy, which can be obtained by catching, transferring, or hatching Kubfu or Urshifu.
During the Powerful Potential Event, players will have the chance to catch Kubfu via both free and paid Special Research tasks.
Event Bonuses
Players can look forward to a major bonus during the event—if you put Eggs in Incubators, they will require only half of their usual hatch distance. This means you’ll be able to hatch Eggs more often!
Plus, upon completing the free Timed Research for this event, the hatch distance bonus will increase to 25 percent!
What About Event Eggs?
In addition, during the Powerful Potential Event, Charcadet will now appear in the hatch pools for 2 km, 5 km, 7 km, and 10 km Eggs. You also have the opportunity to hatch a Shiny Charcadet for the first time!
