Each resource has its own method of acquisition. You can’t simply expect to find everything lying around in castles and other bases; you must be prepared to purchase items, use your current gear to gather more, and even resort to smuggling. Knowing how to collect each resource is crucial for upgrading your Hideout and ensuring your gear meets the level demands of the story missions.

How to Gather Minerals, Crops, and Wood

To upgrade the buildings in your Hideout and to construct new ones you have unlocked, you’ll need to gather significant amounts of minerals, crops, and wood. Stockpiling these resources is vital since they are among the most frequently needed items in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

How to Obtain Upgrade Materials

You’ll need various materials to enhance the gear and weapons of Naoe and Yasuke, and you’ll frequently run low on these items. Different materials are required for each character’s gear and weapons, so it’s essential to know where to find each type.

Understanding Resource Smuggling

Smuggling resources is the best way to amass a significant amount for gear upgrades and improvements to your Hideout. While you can find plenty of resources in the world of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, you won’t be able to simply collect them all.

To access larger supplies, look for them in enemy forts and castles, sometimes located behind locked doors. If you have Scouts available, you can tag these stockpiles and direct them to retrieve the resources and bring them back to your Hideout. This way, you can utilize these materials for enhancing your operations.
