Unique items can drop from any item source, including random monster kills, rewards at the end of dungeons or Nightmare Dungeons, from World Bosses, Helltide chests, and more. The Razorplate is no exception and can be obtained through those various means.
However, if you’re looking for a specific way to farm the Razorplate, focus on battling the Uber boss Lord Zir. This boss has a higher chance to drop the Razorplate along with other Unique items, making him the ideal target for acquiring this particular armor.
To summon Lord Zir, you’ll need to gather 12 Exquisite Blood at the Ancient’s Seat in the Fractured Peaks region. You can collect Exquisite Blood by completing the following activities:
- Legion Events
- World Boss fights
- Helltide Bloodmaiden encounters
- Treasure Goblins
Do remember, defeating Lord Zir does not guarantee a Razorplate, and you may need several attempts before you obtain the item.
What Does Razorplate Do?
The Razorplate is distinct in that it only provides Thorns, foregoing standard stats. This means all the stat slots on the Razorplate contribute to enhancing your overall Thorns damage. Additionally, it features a Unique effect that grants a 10 percent chance to deal between 100 to 200 extra damage when Thorns retaliates.
Because of its unique properties, the Razorplate shines in Thorns-focused Spiritborn builds, such as the Rock Splitter Gorilla setup, and can also be effective in various Thorns-enhanced Barbarian builds.
