FBC: Firebreak offers a diverse range of weapons to help you fend off the relentless Hiss. However, only a few are accessible from the beginning, requiring you to level up and use Lost Assets to acquire more.
Many of the new weapons in FBC: Firebreak are simply upgraded versions of the initial guns. There are, however, unique weapon types that can only be acquired from later pages in the Requisitions menu. For instance, the Machine Gun becomes available starting from page 2 but can also be found on subsequent pages for enhancement.

Since the game’s first updates, the process of upgrading weapons has been made much easier, and future patches from Remedy may further improve this. Nonetheless, the fundamental method of upgrading weapons remains consistent.
When you unlock a weapon, it starts at the lowest quality tier. These weapons can be found again on different Requisition pages; buying them multiple times increases their quality level. However, the Revolver, Double-Barrel Shotgun, and Submachine Gun found on the first Requisition page are the exception, as they begin at Functional quality.
Top FBC: Firebreak Weapons to Unlock Initially
Your priority should be unlocking the Machine Gun and Pump-Action Shotgun first because they are two of the most powerful weapons available in FBC: Firebreak.
The Machine Gun is versatile and works well for any playstyle, making it effective against groups of enemies or tougher foes. It’s a significant upgrade compared to the base Submachine Gun, even if you manage to enhance that one with additional Requisition unlocks. However, it starts at Faulty quality, so be sure to upgrade it as soon as you’re able.
Shotguns are equally formidable in FBC: Firebreak, especially against heavily armored opponents and boss characters. Among them, the Pump-Action Shotgun stands out as the best option. The Double-Barrel Shotgun is decent, but its limited ammo and slow reload times can be frustrating. The Pump-Action Shotgun allows for longer engagement without frequent reloads.
As you progress, focus on leveling up the quality of your favorite weapons to enhance their performance. Faulty weapons aren’t suitable for tougher missions, so aim for at least a Functional weapon before diving into the more challenging content in FBC: Firebreak.
