The Yamask and Galarian Yamask Research Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. Though this event is short, there will be plenty to explore; continue reading for all the details about the Yamask and Galarian Yamask Research Day.
Spotlight Pokemon: Yamask and Galarian Yamask
The Yamask and Galarian Yamask will take the spotlight in this event. During the three-hour session, you’ll get the chance to complete various Event Field Research Tasks that you can collect from different PokeStops in the game.
Upon finishing each of these Event Field Research Tasks, you’ll earn a Pokemon encounter, allowing you the chance to catch either Yamask or Galarian Yamask.
Both Yamask and Galarian Yamask encountered through these Field Research Tasks will have a significantly increased chance of being Shiny, which is the main attraction of this event.
Make sure to complete as many of these Event Field Research Tasks as you can during the three-hour window. This will greatly enhance your chances of getting both a Shiny Yamask and a Shiny Galarian Yamask.
Wild Encounter Pokemon
During this event, expect to see a shift in the Wild Pokemon. There will be five event-themed Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild, listed below:
- Zigzagoon
- Galarian Zigzagoon
- Cubone
- Duskull
- Shieldon
Event Timed Research
Additionally, there will be Event Timed Research available for this occasion, which can be purchased from the in-game Pokemon Go shop for $2.00 USD.
This Timed Research will require you to complete different Field Research Tasks during the event, providing you with extra Yamask and Galarian Yamask encounters.
Encounters with Yamask and Galarian Yamask from this Timed Research will also have increased odds of being Shiny, similar to those from Field Research Tasks.
If you decide to buy this Timed Research, ensure that you finish all tasks before the event wraps up to maximize your opportunities to capture multiple Shiny Pokemon.
