In Monster Hunter Wilds, Sharp Fangs are vital for crafting specific early-game armor pieces, including some from the Talioth and Chatacabra armor sets. Fortunately, obtaining these fangs isn’t overly difficult. You can collect them by taking down certain small monsters while you explore the initial areas of the game. Let’s guide you on how to gather some Sharp Fangs for better armor.
Where to Find Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds
You can collect Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds by defeating specific small monsters, typically the carnivorous types, scattered throughout various regions in the game. In the early stages, focus on hunting these two creatures to reliably obtain Sharp Fangs:
- Talioths: These tall, velociraptor-like monsters can be found in the Windswept Plains. They often travel in groups but tend to scatter when attacked. Luckily, they are quite weak.
- Gajios: These crocodile-like monsters are located in or near water within the Windswept Plains and Scarlet Forest. They can be formidable, but attacking from the side or behind will help you take them down quickly.

To locate these monsters and collect their Sharp Fangs, open your map and use the Filter Icons feature. Select either the Talioth or Gajios from the list to create a waypoint. You can then mount your Seikret and head toward the target location. Once you dismount, it’s time to hunt small monsters for those fangs.
After you’ve gathered enough, head back to camp and talk to Gemma the Smithy to craft new armor using the materials you’ve collected. For instance, if you’ve fought a Chatacabra, you can combine its parts with Sharp Fangs to create the Chatacabra Coil.
