“Battlefield 6” is taking a different route with its weapon unlock system compared to earlier games. Instead of just leveling up to unlock everything, it combines standard rank goals with specific challenges for each class. This means you won’t just be able to grind endlessly to unlock everything; you’ll need to change up your playing style and try out new tactics for each class.

Some of these challenges can take more time and might seem confusing at first, but the rewards make the effort worthwhile. You can see all the class assignments from the start, but you need to reach rank 20 and complete all the necessary tasks before your progress is saved.

### How to Unlock All Gadgets for the Assault Class
The Assault class, known for its aggressiveness, starts with great options like the shotgun and assault ladder, which help you flank enemies and get close for quick kills. Unlike other classes, you can swap out one gadget for a second primary weapon, like DMRs, carbines, or shotguns. This flexibility makes it perfect for maps that favor close combat, with shotguns such as the M86A1, M1013, and 18.5KS-K being popular choices.

Here’s a quick overview of equipment and requirements:

| Equipment | Gadget | Requirement |
|————————|————————————-|—————————————————|
| Signature Gadget | Adrenaline Injector | None |
| M87A1 | Shotgun | None |
| Tarantula ALX | Assault Ladder | None |
| X95 BRE | Breaching Projectile Launcher | Reach Rank 7 |
| M320A1 HE | High Explosive Launcher | Reach Rank 17 |
| M1014 | Shotgun | Reach Rank 42 |
| M320A1 THRM | Thermobaric Grenade Launcher | Reach Rank 44 |
| QLINK 6 | Deploy Beacon | Complete Assault 1 |
| SS26 | Incendiary Shotgun | Complete Assault Expert 1 |
| 18.5KS-K | Shotgun | Complete Point Blank 2 |

Unlocking some gadgets, like the Deploy Beacon, Incendiary Shotgun, and 18.5KS-K, requires completing specific tasks, so teaming up with support players who can refill your gear is a good idea. For example, to unlock the Deploy Beacon, you need to earn 10,000 points as Assault and get 30 kills with the Adrenaline Injector, all while completing the Assault assignment.

Once you finish certain prerequisites, you can move on to the Assault Expert challenge, which involves objectives like getting 50 kills near objectives and earning high scores.

The semi-automatic 18.5KS-K Shotgun can be unlocked after completing the Point Blank 1 challenge, which doesn’t require a high rank, so you can work on it right away by inflicting damage and killing enemies with shotguns.

### How to Unlock Gadgets for the Engineer Class
The Engineer class specializes in countering vehicles with tools like the Auto-Guided Launcher and Air-Defense Launcher. You can only equip one launcher gadget at a time, which makes choosing the right tools essential. Some gadgets, like the RPG Launcher, are unlocked at level 13 and provide more firepower than the basic launcher.

Here’s a summary table:

| Equipment | Gadget | Requirement |
|————————|———————————-|———————————————————–|
| Signature Gadget | Repair Tool | None |
| MBT-LAW | Auto-Guided Launcher | None |
| SLM-93A | Air-Defense Launcher | None |
| M15 | Anti-Vehicle Mine | None |
| RPG-7V2 | Unguided Rocket Launcher | Reach Rank 13 |
| PTKM-1R | Acoustic Sensor AV Mine | Reach Rank 27 |
| M4A1 SLAM | Tripwire Sensor AV Mine | Reach Rank 37 |
| CSB IV | EOD Bot | Reach Rank 40 |
| MAS 148 | Long-Range Launcher | Reach Rank 47 |
| CSS Bundle | Vehicle Supply Crate | Complete Engineer 1 |
| M136 AT | Aim-Guided Launcher | Complete Engineer Specialist |

The RPG Launcher offers significant damage and unlocks more powerful anti-vehicle options as you level up. To get started, the Engineer 1 challenge requires repairing vehicles to earn points and reach 10,000 score. Using a repair tool around tanks is a quick way to gain XP.

For the Engineer Specialist challenge, you need to deal with ground and air vehicles, and get kills with anti-tank mines, eventually earning enough points to unlock the M336 AT Aim-Guided Launcher, a very strong tool that also helps you repair vehicles, passively.

### How to Unlock Gadgets for the Support Class
Support players mainly focus on helping teammates with supplies, but they also get offensive gadgets like missile intercept systems and launchers. The basic gadget, the Supply Bag, is replaced later with more powerful options.

| Equipment | Gadget | Requirement |
|————————|——————————–|———————————————————–|
| Signature Gadget | Supply Bag | None |
| POWERPULSE | Defibrillator | None |
| GPDIS | Grenade Intercept System | None |
| MAXGUARD 900 | Deployable Cover | None |
| MP-APS | Missile Intercept System | Reach Rank 31 |
| LWCMS | Portable Mortar | Reach Rank 49 |
| M320A1 SMK | Smoke Grenade Launcher | Complete Support 1 |
| GOLIATH IMPACT | Supply Pouch | Complete Support Specialist |
| SICH G1 WP | Incendiary Airburst Launcher | Complete Support Specialist |

The Portable Mortar is powerful for attacking tanks or fortresses but requires reaching rank 49. Unlocking the Support first challenge involves healing teammates to earn points. Completing it unlocks the M320A1 SMK, a launcher that fires smoke grenades further and longer.

Further challenges involve reviving teammates and deploying covers, leading to the Support Specialist challenge. This path unlocks offensive gear like the Incendiary Airburst Launcher, though it takes some effort to get it.

Support also offers more flexible options like the Supply Pouch, which can quickly replenish your health or ammo on the move, useful in aggressive plays.

### How to Unlock Gadgets for the Recon Class
Recon focuses on spotting enemies and supporting the team with sneaky tools. Its gadgets are fewer but effective, even if unlocked late in the game. You can unlock everything by around rank 23 if you focus on the required challenges early.

| Equipment | Gadget | Requirement |
|————————|———————————-|———————————————-|
| Signature Gadget | Motion Sensor | None |
| LTLM II | Laser Designator | None |
| M18A1 | Anti-Personnel Mine | None |
| XFGM-6D | Recon Drone | Reach Rank 10 |
| FIELD DUMY NO.25 | Sniper Decoy | Reach Rank 23 |
| C-4 EXPLOSIVES | Demolition Charge | Complete Recon 1 |

The Recon Drone is versatile for scouting and even attacking by planting explosives before flying into enemies. C-4 Demolition Charges are very powerful against vehicles and structures and are highly recommended early in your unlocking process.

Challenges include getting headshots from long distances, tricking enemies into hitting your decoy, and spotting enemies with recon gadgets. After completing these, you’ll unlock the Recon Specialist challenge, which further enhances your abilities, allowing for precise targeting with tools like the Tracer Dart for quick vehicle and enemy identification.

—

This system encourages players to try out different tactics and build their weapon and gadget loadouts strategically. Careful planning and completing challenges will unlock some of the most powerful gear in the game, making your gameplay more effective and varied.
