In the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion, Relic Points are a fresh set of skills designed to boost V’s abilities, covering everything from combat to stealth. To access these Relic Points, you’ll need the expansion. They aren’t mandatory, but they can significantly enhance your character builds. This guide explains how Relic Points function in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, as well as how to acquire more of them.

You can spend Relic Points in the Relic perk tree, which you can find on your character page along with your other attributes. This tree gets unlocked by Songbird shortly after you meet her at the Dogtown gate. Initially, Songbird will give you three Relic Points to kick things off, and later she provides you with an additional three Relic Points around the midpoint of the storyline. That’s a total of six Relic Points just for progressing through Phantom Liberty.

Additionally, you can find more Relic Points by locating Militech Data Terminals throughout Dogtown. These terminals can be seen marked with a blue ‘R’ icon on your map, similar to how Cyberpunk 2077’s Tarot Cards appear. You’ll also hear a distinct high-pitched beep coming from the terminals when you are close enough. Approach a yellow terminal to download its data and earn an extra Relic Point.

The Relic perk tree features nine skills divided into three categories: Jailbreak, Emergency Cloaking, and Vulnerability Analytics. The first perk in each branch requires three Relic points, and each subsequent skill costs one point—making the total investment 15 Relic Points if you pursue all options. Here’s a breakdown of the skills available in the Relic perk tree:

Phantom Liberty Jailbreak Relic Skills

The Jailbreak skills provide new abilities for arm cyberware, including Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, and Projectile Launch System:

  • Spatial Mapping: Leap attacks with Mantis Blades can cripple foes and boost dismemberment chances for 10 seconds.
  • Limiter Removal: The impact from a charged Gorilla Arms attack knocks down all enemies in range.
  • Launch Capacity Override: Increases the Projectile Launch System by one charge.
  • Data Tunneling: When enemies affected by Monowire are hit with a basic Monowire attack, the quickhack spreads to others it strikes.

Phantom Liberty Emergency Cloaking Relic Skills

These skills allow you to activate Optical Camo during combat, causing enemies to lose sight of you:

  • Sensory Protocol: When crouching, if an enemy sees you, time slows down, giving you a chance to evade or flee.

Phantom Liberty Vulnerability Analytics Relic Skills

These skills can reveal weaknesses in enemy armor and cyberware during combat. Hitting these vulnerabilities guarantees a critical hit, provides +25% armor penetration, and weakspot damage bonuses. Dealing enough damage can even trigger an explosion of the vulnerability, creating a 3-meter EMP blast:

  • Machine Learning: Destroying an enemy’s vulnerability increases the frequency of new weaknesses appearing by +10% and boosts critical damage against them by +5%. This effect can stack up to five times, doubling bonuses at maximum stacks.

Your choice of the best Relic perks to invest in should align with your playstyle. The Jailbreak tree offers the most options, but if you don’t frequently use arm cyberware, focusing on one of the other branches might be more effective. If you enjoy stealth gameplay, Emergency Cloaking could be invaluable, especially for many missions in Phantom Liberty. Conversely, Vulnerability Analytics will suit those who prefer direct combat.
