Each map in ARC Raiders can be very dangerous on its own, but the game often changes things up with different map conditions. These conditions can make the gameplay more exciting or easier, and they can also help you get more loot from certain sources. Events like Night Raids and Electromagnetic Storms double the points you earn in Trials, making them great for weekly item farming.
When the game launches, there are 9 different event types. These change the normal map conditions and sometimes add extra challenges, like Night Raids and Electromagnetic Storms, which need to be activated separately from the regular map. More events are planned to come in future updates, including snowfall conditions and flickering flames events, which will be added later in December.
### Prospecting Probes Event Explained
This is one of the simplest events, but it can be very rewarding. When the Prospecting Probes event is active, there are many ARC Probes and ARC Couriers on the map. They contain rare ARC materials for you to collect. Throughout a match, more probes will drop, but be careful — other raiders might also be after these resources, so you could end up competing for them.
### Husk Graveyard Event Explained
This event increases the number of Baron Husks you’ll find on the map. These large enemies carry plenty of loot, but they can also make a lot of noise while waiting for the fire to die down after breaching them, which can alert other players or enemies nearby.
### Uncovered Caches Event Explained
During this event, many small raider containers are buried outside the map’s buildings. These caches can give you amazing rewards if you find them. They make a ticking sound that gets louder as you get closer, but they explode after some time, so you need to be quick when scavenging them.
### Lush Blooms Event Explained
This event increases the amount of natural resources, like fruits, mushrooms, and vegetables, that spawn on the map. Although it doesn’t seem very dramatic, it’s very useful. You can find baskets around the map that hold plenty of these resources, which helps in upgrading your characters or equipment. If many players are fighting over resource areas, these baskets are a good alternative to keep gathering.
### Night Raid Event Explained
Night Raids happen at night and are a tougher version of standard maps. They feature more ARC enemies and fewer places to escape. This event encourages stealth, with players using flashlights and avoiding enemies. The loot value is higher, especially for locked areas, and keycards are more common. Because of the higher risk and reward, Night Raids are great for farming materials and Trials, but be prepared for more dangerous encounters.
### Electromagnetic Storm Event Explained
This map variant is similar to Night Raids but with an added hazard: lightning strikes. These strikes can deal massive damage, and the storm makes the map even more dangerous. However, cunning players can lure ARC enemies into the lightning to use it against them. Active Raider Hatches are not available during this storm, increasing the challenge. If you pay attention to the telegraphing of lightning strikes, they can be avoided, making the map more manageable.
### Launch Tower Loot Event Explained
In this event, you need to find Fuel Cells around the Spaceport and place them in generators near the towers. Once activated, you fight through waves of basic enemies and earn high-value loot. Several enemies, including Bombardiers and Leapers, will patrol during this event. It’s recommended to bring lots of ammo and heavy weapons since the waves can be quite challenging, and the rewards are worth the effort.
### Hidden Bunker Event Explained
This event requires activating four antennas located on each map corner. Once all are activated, a hidden bunker opens, containing valuable loot. You must defeat ARC enemies guarding the antennas and then interact with each one again to open the bunker. The bunker is located on the west side of the spaceport, near the Fuel Processing building. During this event, raider hatches are removed, and there are fewer escape points, so teamwork and careful planning are necessary.
### Harvester Event Explained
This event features a large, stationary structure called the Harvester, which is full of high-value loot. It’s located in a large open area and has three entrances to breach. Outside, enemies including The Queen and Rocketeers may appear, but The Queen can be ignored as it’s optional. The Harvester periodically fills with flames, so you need to run outside and find cover until it cools down. There is also a mini-game involving batteries and shooting targets for extra rewards.
### Summary
These map conditions and events are designed to vary the gameplay experience, challenge players, and boost loot chances. Prepare accordingly with the right gear, teamwork, and awareness to succeed in each event and maximize your rewards.
