Dynamax Beldum makes its exciting comeback during Max Battles as part of Max Mondays in Pokémon GO. First introduced in 2024, Dynamax Beldum was the sixth Pokémon to receive the Dynamax treatment. Even though there aren’t many Steel-types with this enhanced form, Beldum’s final evolution, Metagross, is an impressive addition to any trainer’s roster.
If you haven’t captured Dynamax Beldum yet, Max Mondays is the ideal time to try. Max Mondays provide a dedicated hour each week featuring just one Pokémon in Max Battles—nothing else will be available during this time. Mark your calendar for Monday, March 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time, to encounter Dynamax Beldum. Additionally, Dynamax Beldum will appear in regular Max Battles throughout March, giving you more chances to catch it. Notably, after you defeat it, there’s also a chance for it to appear in its shiny variant during both Max Mondays and afterward.
Weaknesses and Resistance of Dynamax Beldum in Pokémon GO
Target These Four Weaknesses
Just like its standard form, Dynamax Beldum has four notable weaknesses: it struggles against Dark, Fire, Ghost, and Ground-type attacks, with these types dealing increased damage. To optimize your strategy, choose Pokémon that are these types, equipped with matching attack moves. Besides Max Mondays, Pokémon GO is currently featuring other events, including The Road To Unova.
You can team up for Max Battles solo or with up to three local friends.
Dynamax Beldum is a dual-type Pokémon (Steel and Psychic), which grants it resistance to many other types. It sustains 37.5% less damage from Dragon, Fairy, Flying, Grass, Ice, Normal, Rock, or Steel-type attacks. Furthermore, it takes even less damage—about 60.9%—from Poison and Psychic-type attacks. Thus, when assembling your team, avoid including any Pokémon of these 10 types.

During the hour devoted to Max Mondays when Dynamax Beldum is available, you can find it at any nearby Power Stops. To compete in Max Battles, you need Max Particles, and you can select up to three Dynamax Pokémon for the battle. Using multiple of the same Pokémon is permitted if you have enough in your storage. During the battle, you can only unleash one standard attack based on your Pokémon’s type. Each hit you land fills the Max Meter, and when it’s fully charged, it allows you to access additional Max Abilities.

Powerful Fire Types to Consider
When Dynamax Beldum debuted, there were only a few Pokémon suitable for taking it on. Now, players have a wide array of options, making this battle more manageable.
