The top weapons in Grounded 2 aren’t actually the Unique Weapons, unless you’re building around specific styles of play. This might seem strange because all the legendary and unique weapons are hidden behind boss fights or tough challenges. However, the most powerful weapons actually come from taking down one of the most dangerous creatures in Grounded 2, as I’ll explain below.

I’ll show you how to find the best weapon, and I’ve also marked all the locations of the unique weapons on a map so you can start crafting builds suited to your needs. If you’re after community favorites like the Heatwave, Bushwacker, or Ice Sickles, I can tell you exactly where to find them.

How to get the best weapon in Grounded 2

The best weapon in Grounded 2 is definitely the Wolfsbane Fangs, a pair of tier 3 poison daggers. They pack a punch, let you move quickly, and can be used to create many different build options.

Getting the Wolfsbane Fangs means you have to kill and harvest parts from a Wolf Spider, which is not easy. These hostile bugs roam all over the park, but they are most reliably found in the extreme lower-left corner of the map, in the Entrance Region, past the oak tree where you can gather Grounded 2 Acorns.

Once you defeat one, take the Wolf Spider Fang it drops to any Resource Analyzer to unlock the recipe for crafting Wolfsbane Fangs.

To craft these, you’ll need to go to a workbench and put in these ingredients:

4 Spider Venom
4 Wolf Spider Chunks
2 Wolf Spider Fangs
2 Silk Ropes

Most of these items are dropped by Wolf Spiders, except for the Silk Rope, which is made from Spider Web Fiber on a Spinning Wheel or Workbench. You’ll probably need to kill two or four Wolf Spiders to collect everything, making this a late-game goal.

All Grounded 2 Unique Weapon locations

Unique weapons in Grounded 2 are special finds scattered across the world. They aren’t crafted or discovered randomly—they have specific locations. I’ve marked these on the map above, along with what they do and the upgrades needed to unlock them.

Some of the key weapons include:

Bushwacker: A tier 2 bow that does extra damage to enemies at full health. Found in a high-up chest in the Hedge west of the Picnic table, past the Grounded 2 Briefcase. Use an Ant Buggy to chew through roots and a spider to cross web bridges. Grab some Lingonberry Leather here too.
Crimson Avenger: A tier 2 sword with higher critical hit chances on spiders. Hidden inside the Spider Den Anthill, toward a chewed gum block in the Memorial Crate area. Requires a tier 2 Shovel to get.
Heatwave: A tier 2 staff that deals spicy damage, sets enemies on fire, and reduces chill with its third strike. Found inside a giant plastic doll’s head in the Fire Pit. You need ways to resist burning and a tier 2 hammer to break through the charcoal.
Pinch Wacker: A tier 2 one-handed smasher that causes an AOE shockwave. Located in a tunnel north of the Fire Pit, behind a wall needing a Bratburst to break.
Gloom Skewer: A tier 2 spear that makes enemies take more damage after charge attacks. Located at the bottom of the Toxic Anthill, guarded by the Cockroach Queen. You need a tier 2 axe to cut through mushrooms blocking the entrance.
Scarlet Aegis: A tier 2 shield that heals nearby allies on perfect parries. Found in a tunnel near the Podium, behind a wall blown up with a Bratburst.
Ice Sickles: Tier 3 dual daggers that chill and freeze enemies. Found in the upper Ice Cream Truck, in a room with the Buried Treasure that requires a Frostbitten Key. They’re embedded in ice, and you must defend them from waves of Northern Scorpions before retrieving them, which also reveals the crafting recipe.

Out of all these, the Ice Sickles, Heatwave, and Bushwacker are the most worth hunting down. The Bushwacker is one of the best bows, especially for sneaky builds. The Heatwave is great for ranged attacks that burn enemies. And the Ice Sickles are the most powerful weapons in this list, with the added bonus of freezing foes.
